We arrived with an hour to go before an Ice Hockey match - check-in was quick efficient and friendly so we were seated in plenty of time. Front-of-house staff were always friendly, smiling and helpful, even extending our checkout time as they were quiet, ordering a taxi & providing water for our journey.
I liked the extra security with lifts that needed a keycard to reach the bedrooms, and I liked the array of (highly polished) apples next to the lift. This illustrates the attention to detail in this hotel: well-stocked minibar with non-chill items in a drawer not the fridge; a safe large enough for a laptop; blackout and white blinds plus curtains; lights & pull-down shelves for reading in bed; lots of sockets; dropdown ironing board & iron; wide range of light settings; recycling box in room, and more.
Our room was huge with 2 ample double beds plus sofa for a guest, a walk-in area for dressing/clothes storage and the biggest en suite bathroom I've ever seen!! My daughter said it was the best shower she's ever had, but I felt a bit confused and was unable to get quite the right temperature. Basins good & big, but we would have liked plugs to enable shaving & handwashing clothes (maybe we were confused here too!).
Breakfast was good but didn't match up to the flair in the rest of the hotel. We didn't eat dinner here, but the bar was well stocked and welcoming for singles or groups alike.
If I go back to Toronto I will stay here and I absolutely recommend it.

Best place to stay in Toronto. The SoHo is an incredible hotel. My wife and I stayed for a weekend getaway and could not have been happier. The room was fantastic, featuring heated bathroom floors, super comfortable beds, and flattering night time turn down service. The staff way friendly and went out of their way to address any need we had. Won't stay anywhere else on a return visit to Toronto.

This location was recommended by a friend that lives in Toronto. We were extremely impressed. I requested an early check-in because we had a red-we flight from SFO. We arrived to the hotel at 8am. Once I mentioned my name at the front desk they immediately told me that they had housekeeping working on my room and should have it ready within 15 minutes. They offered me a comfortable seating area in their downstairs lounge and coffee. 10 minutes later the front desk staff walked over, handed me my key and told me my luggage was already in my room. We were thrilled to have our room so early without any hassle.
The 2 ladies at the concierge desk were friendly, fun, and professional. We actually found them enjoyable to talk to and trusted their opinions.
The rooms are modern, clean, and comfortable.
Worth every penny. I would book this hotel again in a heartbeat.

"It is a wonderful place, more than a nights sleep."
Everything you could ask for, from a hotel..And then some.
We booked a suite, well appointed, stocked, and very deluxe!. It's every star it deserves.
However, be aware that: Credit cards are preferred, and parking is extra. But that's par for the course.

"Wonderful, wonderful hotel in a perfect location"
The service and comfort of this hotel is exceptional, and the location absolutely perfect. It is not a crowded neighborhood, especially compared to being on the waterfront near the lake. There are a couple of great museums literally "next door" and wonderful restaurants in residential neighborhoods, also nearby. All amenities in the hotel or nearby make it the ideal place to stay.

It was over all a grate hotel experience, the only thing we didn't like was that there was no breakfast offert and food was over price but aside from that it's a gate hotel specially if your flight it's early morning!

We booked 2 rooms the same day- hotel was overbooked so we were lucky to get both. The lobby is enormous & beautifully decorated, parking was easy (inexpensive compared to other hotels.) Check-in took 3 minutes! Restaurant was very good -we decided to eat there bec we arrived late, very hungry & it was pouring rain outside. Food & service were great. Concierge was very helpful guiding us to dining, activities and shows. It's nice to have that when you visit a foreign city- a quick tutorial on "navigating Toronto." Our rooms were very clean and super-comfy. Bedding was excellent as was the plush, pillow-top mattress- we slept like babies! Keuring machine, bathrobe, slippers, iPod dock, every toiletries you can imagine (ponytail holder w/the shower cap-seriously?) No detail was missed. Did I mention the view of the lake? Would definitely stay next time were in town!!!

Wife and I had a guaranteed reservation but the front desk said they had a delay in finding us a room. After twenty minutes. They apologized for the delay, covered the $40 valet parking and upgraded us to a one bedroom suite which was great.
