A return trip is definitely in my future!Posted Jan 28, 2015
Pros: The service, the cleanliness, my room, the view, and the staff all made my trip wonderful.
Cons: Though my fridge was stocked daily, I wish it included Diet Coke!
Location: I did not leave the campus, as there was no need - it had everything I needed and wanted right there.....
I went to the Grand Oasis alone, with no expectations. The service was wonderful, the campus was beautiful, and the staff was exceptional. Humberto at the VIP lounge took especially good care of me, as did Sylvia. Louis at the spa was the hands down the best massage I have ever had. David in Playa 2 was attentive and responsive to everything I asked for. The hotel was clean and always well taken care of. The food choices were fabulous, and the food itself was amazing. I would not hesitate to recommend the Grand Oasis to anyone, and will certainly return myself. Thank you to all who made my trip so wonderful!

Grand Oasis DOESN'T Love UPosted Jan 21, 2015
Pros: The grounds were very pretty and there were lots of activities. The Cocoa restaurant had the best Shrimp dish.
Cons: Reliable hot showers. Less construction. Better insulation in rooms. Better beds. Better customer service. Fitted sheets.
Location: We never left the hotel during our stay because there was plenty to do. If we wanted to we could have visited the other Oasis locations, Sens & Tulum.
We were very excited to stay at this hotel and while the grounds are beautiful the rooms left us completely disappointed. To begin with we had reserved a King bed and ended up with two doubles. We had also expected to stay in the Pyramid but ended up in the beach front building on the right with a garden view room. When we arrived we had no towels in the room and despite our several calls to the reception and talks with the onsite rep we had to wait nearly 5 hours to get some towels. The most disappointing part was the ongoing construction and remodeling. Upon arrival we were greeted with "Wet Paint" signs and the strong smell of paint thinner. The entire building underwent construction during our entire stay and our room had zero insulation so you could hear everything including even when someone opened a can. The showers were unreliable and it was a toss up whether you would get hot water or not. We saw small insects that resembled ants and had a few bites throughout our bodies. There was a creepy older man using a camera on a stick taking overhead pictures of women in the pool and under water. The restaurants were great but the buffets were simply awful, there were several issues with food tasting sour as if it had gone bad. We stuck to eating at Sevilla, Cocoa, Dos Lunas and the mexican place near the beach. When we asked for help with our room and inquire about help the reception was never helpful. Over all we would only come back if the rooms were better

Love this resortPosted Jan 16, 2015
I had been to Cancun last year and stayed at one of the lesser Oasis Resorts, but had come to use their facilities at the Oasis Cancun. So when my bf and I booked this trip, I insisted that we stay here. We are both 27 and only came for 4 nights, so I wanted a resort that we technically didn't have to leave--but wouldn't be bored. The Grand part is worth it, you can eat at all the restaurants. The rooms were beautiful, ocean view, and all had a balcony. The beach is great as well as the huge pool. Very generous with the all inclusive alcohol as well--not stingy with the tequila in their pina coladas ;) All in all the service was great, and I would come back and stay here again--don't have anything bad to say except that we did not have an iron in the room.

Nice hotel with nice pool and good ocean front.Posted Jan 13, 2015
Pros: Restaurants, pools and general ambiance of the grounds is appealing. College students were generally housed toward one end of grounds.
Cons: Seal off the doors to adjoining rooms to offer their guests some privacy. Install shower doors to avoid the daily flood on the bathroom floor.
Location: Location is central in the hotel zone and located nicely on the beach and the main road. Buses pass by often and offer easy transport to shopping.
This was our second time to this resort. The pool and ocean front are beautiful and appealing. The 18 restaurants / snack bars were wonderful and we enjoyed the wide variety and menus. The staff were very friendly and the concierge staff, in particular, did a good job of assisting us whenever needed. Our room was our biggest disappointment. It seems that most all rooms were adjoining and the thin wall and door did not provide privacy from the strangers moving in next door. We could hear their conversations and they were very loud at times. The lock was inoperative on the patio door and the lack of a shower door meant an ever-constant wet floor in the bathroom. The room was apparently cleaned by several different crews. Some days our bed was not made. Other days we were not given clean towels, even though the dirty ones had been picked up. Other days it was a lack of a bath mat, etc. We were often able to obtain needed supplies by approaching the Spanish speaking only cleaning crews working down the hall, but I felt like we had to fend a bit for ourselves somewhat each day.

Horrible staff and foodPosted Jan 13, 2015
Every worker lies directly to your face. Food is not edible. Don't request anything because they will steal your money.
