Beautiful and well worth the money.

Loved this resort. The entire stay was amazing and the food was fantastic. Check in was a little bit of a pain only because we checked in around 3pm and had to wait 2 and a half hours for the room to be ready and we had reserved two queen beds because we were two single girls but when we asked why we were given one bed they said it was only a request and said they couldnt do anything about it. Bring your own pillows. But other wise I would def recommend this place and I would be back. The staff food and drinks def made up for the first few hours of the trip. If you like to drink and have a good time you'll love it. But I would not recommend it for families

This is the party hotel. If you dont want to be around attractive loud people from all parts of the world, then go elsewhere. Nothing but fun and good music. The party bus program was off the hook great staff and good times.

Didn't like the changes from our last visit

Pros: Restaurants, clean pool and beach
Cons: Cushions for the poolside chairs!!!!
Location: Stayed in the resort area - was there to relax
This was the 5th time we stayed at the Grand Oasis in Cancun. We always looked forward to going so we could relax at the poolside and soak in the sun, but this year they did not offer the cushions for the poolside chairs, which are wooden. Unfortunately, this was very uncomfortable for us, since we both have health issues (back pain, shoulder problems) which made it difficult to lay on the wooden chairs for very long. This is the first year we came back and had people ask us where our tans were! We weren't able to enjoy ourselves next to the pool very long without experiencing pain and discomfort. Also, when we wanted to just relax in our room instead of going to one of the restaurants for something to eat, we had to pay for room service no matter how little you order (it was a flat fee of $12.00) which this used to be included in the all inclusive feature.

Extra charges even with VIP bracelets

Posted Apr 13, 2014
Beautiful beach & friendly staff. However, food & drinks were sub par and everytime you turn around it's an extra charge for something. Even wearing VIP bracelets, we had to pay for things like baileys in our coffee, premium liquors (if you could even find a bar with them) or for room service. Couldn't break our bills at the front desk for tipping, had to walk 3 blocks to the currency exchange. It is a pretty hotel with lots of potential, and the entertainment was awesome, but all the little things that you take for granted with an all inclusive just weren't there, & it really wrecked the experience for me. We will not be returning to the grand oasis, if I am going to spend extra money to upgrade to VIP, I want to be treated like a VIP.

Perfect Vacation Destination

Pros: Friendly, helpful staff. Verrrryy big pool and beach! Lots of entertainment in the evening to keep you busy!
Cons: Coffee available earlier in the morning (couldn't get it until 7 am). Linens seemed to be in short supply, we had to ask for hand towels/wash clothes
Location: Great location, you can hop on the bus and get to La Isla (very nice shopping center) or go a little further to the market/club area. Convenience stor
This was our second year staying at the Grand Oasis and we were not disappointed. The staff is always friendly and helpful. There is plenty to do on the resort and they provide lots of entertainment in the evening. Food is restaurants and buffets is very good and there is always plenty. We will definitely visit the Oasis again!

Resort is horrible, grounds are nice

Posted Apr 10, 2014
Pros: the beach
Cons: 1. Air conditioning 2. someone who can speak English on staff 3. Food and drinks 4. Costumer service 5. Cleanliness
Location: Take the R2 bus to Hard Rock Cafe area 10 min away Do NOT go any further then this tourist area! It is not safe.
We arrived at our hotel and sat in the lobby which is has no air until after 3pm. Once checked in we walked across the grounds to get to our room. When we opened the door there was already a man in the bed! One of the hotel staff ran back to the main building to let them know our room was taken. We then were given another room on the other side of the resort. This room had doors that didn't lock, a safe box that wouldn't lock, and one of the beds was dirty. We then walked back to the main building (pyramid) to speak with a manager. We waiting in line to speak with a "manager" who gave us another room. None of the main areas are air conditioned. The staff doesn't knock on your door to alert you they are there they just walk in. Yes, its all inclusive but the drinks and food were so poor that we had to leave and buy our own. It is very hard to communicate with any of the staff because they don't speak English. At one point cops showed up with guns to one of the builings. I would not recommend this resort.
