Very disappointing...

Posted Dec 17, 2014
Considering the price paid for the stay and the reputation of the hotel I expected it would be a nice hotel to party. However, nothing was going on on the site after 5 pm with only one bar open for everyone. Also, the service was terrible and people very slow and not smiling. Moreover, there were renovation around my room for the whole week from 8 am to around 6 pm... The safe deposit box costs around 60$ for the week and 60$ for the internet, which I find should be included in the price of the stay as an offered service. Moreover, the security guy didn't allowed people from Oasis Cancun to enter threw the Grand Oasis Cancun gate when we came back from clubbing which is ridiculous since it's the same hotel..... I will definitively go to ME Cancun or Riu next time.

Beach is the best, food is fair, need more help

Posted Dec 17, 2014
Pros: The beach
Cons: Close buildings when doing construction, hire more help, DON'T water down the liquor
We have stayed at several all inclusives and this had the best beach. Most restaurants did not open until 6 pm. Drinks were VERY watered down. There was a lot of very good entertainment. There was a lot of construction going on and it was very noisy.

HOTEL WAS TOO BIG AND DID NOT HAVE ENOUGH HELP.

Posted Dec 11, 2014
Pros: the ocean view
Cons: remodel the bathrooms
Location: you have to walk quite a bit to get anywhere
The shower only had a sheet of glass covering half of the opening so there was water all over the room, also it rained and the water came in from the window, there were only 2 ice machines for the whole building and neither one worked, the cost on the security lock was 8 $ instead of 4 and the mini bar was only stocked if there wasn't anything in there, the front receptionists were not very friendly at all.I for one will never go back and my wife has even worse things to say about the place.

Good vibes hotel!

Posted Dec 8, 2014
Pros: The hotel sits on a very nice section of beach, it's in close proximity to everything.
Cons: The check out process and the food selection at the buffets could definitely be improved.
Location: Like I said you are in a very central location of the hotel zone and in a nice section of beach, isla mujeres and downtown are really close!
Great place to stay if your going with a group, plenty of things to do such as the pool with swim up bar, the beach at any time, and close proximity to downtown.

BEAUTFULL HOTEL, DISAPOINTING ROOM EXPERIENCE.

Posted Dec 6, 2014
Pros: THE BUFET FOOD WAS OK, THE OUT SIDE OF THE RESORT WAS VERRY NICE AND WELL TAKING CARE OF THEY HAVE VERRY NICE SHOWS.THE STAFF WAS TERRIBLE.
Cons: THEY MUST RETRAINE ALL STAFF A.S.A.P., FROM FLOOR CLEANERS TO CONCIERGE, TO VIP CONCIERGE AND ALSO THE SUPERVISORS. NO ONE MAKES ANNY EFFORT TO HELP.
Location: THE LOCATION IS VERRY NICE CLOSE TO AIRPORT, AND VERRY WELL LOCATED COSE TO SHOPS, CLUBS, NICE RESTAURANTS AND A LOT TO DO NEAR BY.
WE HAD A VERRY BAD EXPERIENCE AT THIS HOTEL, WILL NEVER EVER STAY THERE AGAIN, THE HOTEL STAFF ARE VERRY UNPLEASE. NEVER SALUTES, NO HI, GOOD MORNING OR ANNY TIPE OF KINDINES TO HOSPEDES. THE TV DID NOT WORK, WE WERE VERRY TIRED THE DAY WE GOT TO THE HOTEL AND DID NOT FEEL LIKE GOING OUT, WE CALLED AND ASKED FOR SOME ONE TO CHECK ON THE TV. NO ONE CAME, NEXT DAY WE WENT TO THE CONCIERGE TO COMPLAIN ABOUT AND THEY TOLD US TO GO TO THE FRONT DESK, THE LINE WAS VERRY BIG, WE WENT TO THE VIP CONCIERGE, WHERE WE DID OUR CHEK IN, I EXPLAIN THE SITUATION AND THEY TOLD ME THY WOUL TAKE CARE OF IT, WE WHENT ON A TRIP WHEN WE GOT BACK NOTHHING HAPPENED, WE WHENT BACK TO THE VIP CONCIERGE AND ASKED TO SPEEK TO A MANEGER AND THEY TOLD ME THERE WAS NO ONE AVAILABLE, WE ASK TO BE CHANGED TO A DIFFERENT ROOM AND THEY DID, BUT IT WAS WORSE THE SHOWER DID NOT WORK, I GOT VERRY UPSET THEY WANTED AS TO CHENGE ROOM AGAIN I REFUSED. THE BULDING WE STAIED IS UNDER RENOVATION AND THERE FORE NEGLECKTED.FINYLE WE WHENT BACK TO THE FRONT DESK AND ASKED TO SPEAK TO SOME ONE IN CHARGE, ONCE AGAIN THE DID NOT WHANT TO CALL THE MANEGER I GOT VERRY ANGRY AN FINILY A SUPERVISOR SHOLD UP, I EXPLINED TO HIM EVERY BAD EXPERIENCE WE HAD AND ALL HE WAS ABLE TO SAY WAS "IM SORRY". THEY NEED TO RETRAINE ALL THEIR STTAFF, NO ONE KNOWS HOW TO HELPE OR WANTS TO BE HELPFULL. DONT STAY OM BULDINDG ONE. WE TRAVEL A LOT AND THIS WAS BY FAR THE WORSE EXPERIENCE WE HAD.

Great resort

Posted Dec 4, 2014
Pros: Close to the beach, airport, and town. Staff are excellent.
Cons: Nothing
Location: My wife loves the old cancun flea market
I think that the resort is under rated, it is a solid 4 star. The rooms are great, not to mention the beds that are very comfortable. All the staff are very friendly and helpful and most can speak English, more than we can say about us. The only problem is if you want to call it a problem is choosing where to eat, lots of restraunt's to choose from. Great service from everyone there, this is my second stay there and will stay there next year! Love the place!

We went for the party and found it in spades

Posted Dec 3, 2014
Pros: The people we met there were awesome The atmosphere was great Service hit and miss, but good overall
Cons: Garbage cans beside bathroom door so you don't have to touch the tiny handle directly and don't have to then throw the paper towel across the room
Location: The City (dance club) Friday - highly recommend this. And the Palazzo Electro glow party Saturday - also recommended. And get in the Ocean!
We wanted a resort with enough night-life to keep us from going to the Strip every night, and Grand Oasis Cancun worked perfectly for us! Sunday was the only night that was quieter - in that only one bar/club was open and only until 1am, but every other night it is possible to have a great time at a number of spots on the resort into the early morning. Lots going on at the pool during the day. Great music - I prefer house and bouncy dance music, and they played it along with Caribbean-style and rap/hip-hop. The beach was well maintained, and the waves were large enough to have fun in but still within reason. The staff was friendly and helpful. The drinks flowed, and the music left my ears ringing and my heart yearning for more. Anything, yes basically anything, can be acquired on the beach, but beach 'vendors' were not pushy or rude at all - easy to say no to. I didn't personally feel unsafe on the resort or the beach at any time, though there was the odd person or people who may have had less than desirable experiences. It seemed like for the most part that people were there for a good time and looking out for each other, even looking out for strangers. A super positive experience, only bad part was having to leave. We will be going back

Excellent experience at this hotel!!!

Posted Nov 29, 2014
Pros: I liked the various restaurants throughout the hotel. Such a variety of food from all over the world.
Cons: Yes their management should not allow their workers to work at night. Was one night that we heard drilling and hammering up thru till 4am.
Location: FOOD FOOD FOOD, and a gigantic pool. As well as the night life in the club district.
Everything we could have wanted in a vacation trip was at this hotel. Great situation, room, staff, shows, pool facilities, night life, scenery, and night daily shows. We had a great time here. Since we were all inclusive, we were also allowed to visit all of the other Oasis hotels in the area with a daily pass that we got from the concierge. One thing to note is to just ignore the Timeshare Sharks there. They seem to prey on the newly arrived guests. Just tell them "you are not interested" and after you've checked in just tell them your leaving in a day or two. They'll ignore you after that. It's all a sales scam. As long that that little nuisance doesn't bother you then you should have a great time here. Also don't rent their cars. I call them "coffin cars", they might as well bury you and the car together since they are so tiny for on 2 people and a steep charge of 70 bucks a day. Not worth it. After searching we found concord car rental. They were honest and straightforward. Price quoted on website is price paid. Overall had a great time here.

Family friendly, partying present but we were able to steer clear. Shows were very cool. The waiters never once got out drink orders right and the maids always forgot to replace the washcloths.
