Stay away

Posted Jul 29, 2014
Don't go unless you love crowds. Daily fights to get a table at most restaurants people attacking the buffet.... No lounges at the pool unless you get up really early and claim one.... Staff ignore you when you need something .... Couldn't get a drink at any bar the first day cause they ran out of glasses.... Pool temperature piping hot all day beach water temperature no better.... Only thing good about this hotel is it's location

"STAY AWAY"

Posted Jul 28, 2014
Pros: Nothing
Cons: Everything including Management
If there was one or two thing I would not mind but this place is all run down. No A/C, it's just blowing air, we complained everyday of our five day stay for the A/C and they did not even move the room. You will find water leaking throughout the building. No Ice in restaurants and the drinks are flat they run out of cups so you can't even have that. Food is terrible and they will not refill the buffets if they run out of the items which they do every day. They will charge you if you want the safe for securing your valuables. The employees (including the General Manager) will listen to your complains but will do nothing about it. We had reserved our seats directly with the General Manager and had confirmed again with VIP concierge for the Maria Bonita restaurant but guess what they did not let us in. This General Manager had ruined our evening and the entire stay.

Poor service. Stay somewhere else.

Pros: Beach
Cons: Service, service, service!
I spent 5 days at the Grand Oasis Cancun. Main hotel lobby (which is not air conditioned by the way) and grounds are beautiful, there is plenty to be disappointed about. The service in this hotel is horrendous even though my group and I were upgraded to “VIP” guests of the hotel! Much that went wrong, including clogged toilets, blown fuse (no electricity) and an uninvited guest in our room. In addition, poor service (e.g., unanswered service requests relating to issues mentioned above), and uninterested and, sometimes, rude staff. Pool water was very warm and DIRTY, only one SMALL working guest elevator. So many more mishaps that escape me right now but I think this gives you an idea of the upgrades required. This hotel may on the surface look stunning but definitely not the case. This hotel is in need of a lot of improvements.

I came here for my 20th birthday with my best friend and it was an amazing experience. I would recommend this hotel for anyone trying to go and have an amazing time whether it to be relaxing on the beach or to party with friends.

Very accessible!

Location: We book our family with Mayan special tours. Awesome small private tour Chichen Itza n Xenotes! Guide Pepe was awesome, his knowledge was worth it!
Organized staff greeted us upon arrival. We were welcomed in the VIP lounge while our reservations were confirmed.Much appreciated, the cold drinks and breakfast buffet! For 4 days and nights, my family was able to enjoy most of the amenities offered. Awesome times of swimming, playing and just relaxing! We did not like the sushi bar/restaurant! I guess, since we are lovers of Japanese cuisine, our standards are high. I would say our family vacation was a success! Thanks to Grand Oasis Cancun! Hasta la vista!
