great welcome though I would have preferred to keep my luggage with me instead of delivered to my room
appreciated the champagne on arrival;
lovely room with nice touches from our cleaning lady; she even left ice for me one night in the bucket
they do not have a restaurant but breakfast, cheese and wine and cookies and porto were all great and sufficient;

On arrival we were greeted with an offer of Wine and afternoon tea. This stay showed Southern hospitality at its best, nothing was too much trouble. There are several different room types according to individual taste. The inn serves home cooked breakfasts differing every morning but will also accommodate individual requirements to suit. Very well equipped bathroom with whirlpool and really comfy bed.
I would not hesitate to recommend this inn.

Have tried several hotels over the past 4 years while my daughter has been a student in Charleston....finally fell in love with Zero George Street! Everything and everyone was effortlessly charming. Old world yet fresh...could have been a small hotel in Europe with lovely details of gas lights, dripping wax candles, freshly baked treats and gourmet coffee lovingly offered by Irina for breakfast, and fine wine in the evening...all surprisingly complimentary. Completely delightful! I hope to return soon and often.

My wife and I came to the John Rutledge to experience a B and B and could not be happier. The staff was friendly, the inn is charming yet up to date with the wifi and electronics charging station in the room. No matter what time you wander in, you are greeted by someone with a warm smile.

My husband and I just stayed at the Harbor View Inn for the third time. The obvious wonderful thing about this hotel is the location - it can't be beat. For me, it's the whole package, and the Harbor View Inn has it all. The staff is friendly, all hours of the day, and the rooms are wonderful. The complimentary breakfast is great and is delivered at precisely the time you ask for it. Don't forget the wine and cheese reception at 5:00, and the warm cookies and milk at 9:00 pm.
I can't wait to go back!
