Bengals Football

This hotel is about three blocks from Paul Brown field, I went to watch the Bears, Bengals football game with my daughter. This Hotel is blocks away from Fountain Square, river front,football/baseball all within walking distance. Champs sports bar is also within this hotel. Its everything you expect from a Hyatt hotel. I have never been extremely satisfied with anything hence the 4 rating. I do recommend a stay at this hotel if you want the best of downtown Cincinnati.

great location for Reds/Bengals games

Hotel very close (3) blocks from Paul Brown stadium. My wife and I first time to cincinnati, we were very happy of location.Staff very frindly and helpful. Breakfast buffet $$$ but good.ONLY downfall,small convience store in hotel closed early and not ONE snack machine in hotel. Great stay will go again, but i will bring my own Twix Bar. hahaha

We stayed here for my son’s 16th birthday trip to a Bengal’s game. We took a friend of his and my brother. We had a great time, the hotel was wonderful. Am planning on doing a romantic trip with wife next time to the same hotel!

Great place to stay in Cincinnati

Everything about the hotel was super. Our purpose for going to Cincinnati for the Labor Day weekend was to see the fireworks at Riverfest. We had a room on the 19th floor overlooking the riverfront, but were unable to see the fireworks due to the PNC Bank Building that blocked the view. That was our only disappointment.

Spend $20 more a night and stay some where else

My husband and I stopped in Cincinnati for a few nights as part of a business trip. I have previously stayed in another hotel a block away and wish we had stayed there for this trip. Why? 1) the toilet paper in our room was below standard, I have had better in gas station restrooms 2) the TV channel selection was horrible, I think I had more channels in 1986 3) parking fees were outrageous, valet is $20/day, self park is $14 each time you exit and return to the garage (not per day) 5) no continental breakfast, the business breakfast package only covered one of us, the other breakfast was $22.00 6) the bathroom is tiny 7) my husband needed razors, they were $18 in the hotel store.

Use the TANK it’s a bargain for getting around the city and over the river to Kentucky.

Not impressed

I must say that I was disappointed in our stay at this hotel. A few things to point out: 1. The elevators were very very slow, even though they had plenty of elevators. 2. They offered absolutely no complimentary coffee or breakfast. 3. You had to park in a parking garage, which would be fine, but it was $14 PLUS $14 each time you wanted to take your car out of the garage. 4. The price was just so-so for a room with no "extra" amenities but a bed and a bathroom.

Traveler's tip on shopping

The hotel is connected to a mall, but unless you have the money to shop at Saks and similar then I suggest driving elsewhere for shopping. Also, be aware that for some reason, everything closes extremely early in and around downtown.

The downtown area is close and the resturants great.I really enjoyed Fountain Square. Lots of entertainment going on during the summer. I felt really safe with all the policeman on horseback. on bikes, and on segways.

Great Hotel!!

This is a GREAT hotel!!! We went to a baseball game. Everything was within walking distance!! There’s a nice parking lot across the street that’s very reasonable!! The elevators are a somewhat slow. But not enought to ruin anything!! We will go back!!

Nice place to stay for Reds’ games.

We stayed overnight on a short trip to attend a Reds’ game. Location is a short walk from the stadiums, and is near the center of downtown pre-game and post-game activity. Rooms were fine, and the staff was very helpful and courteous.

Cheaper than the other options in Downtown Cincinnati

The hotel is fine. If you are looking to save 20 buck a night versus the other hotel options in downtown Cincinnati this is the place to go. The rooms are clean, not overly big, and the bathroom is nice.

Seemed Nice

Everything was great.... except the Champs sports bar was not a decent place to eat. There was no refrigerator in the room. Staff was very nice. Valets were great. Seemed clean except for the stairwells.

Average Hotel: Nothing bad; noting special

We chose this hotel because of it’s location to Great American Ballpark. It was an average hotel--noting special, nothing bad. Clean.

not happy that my room was next to the POOL!

The hotel was very clean however my room was next to the pool, which was VERY LOUD! This was suppose to be a romantic getaway for my husband and I.

The hotel was clean, the staff was attentive and polite, and the skywalk made it incredibly convenient for me to get where I needed to go quickly.

Great place to stay the beds were so comfotable. hotel is close to alot of places downtown you could walk to the stadium and the staff was very informative will go back.

Not a typical Hyatt

My guess is that this hotel was purchased from a lower end hotel company and they chose not to renovate. The "city view" we were promised was a view of a couple of tall buildings across the street. We reserved a king size bed and ended up with two small double beds. Our IPOD docking station/clock radio didn’t work and our bathtub didn’t drain properly. I had a package delivered and was charged $10 to have them accept it (I did manage to get that charge credited). On a good note, the room was clean (carpet needs replacing) and the beds, although not the size we reserved, were comfortable. The gym had some nice cardio machines as well. All in all, I would definately choose a different hotel for my next stay in Cincinatti, I have higher expectations of Hyatt hotels, so this was a bit of a disappointment.

We ate at Cumin Indian Fusion and had one of the best meals of our lives. It’s not downtown, but if you have a rental car, it’s a must! Also try Tinks on Telford Street. Lots of great restaurants, just do some research to find them.
