“I suppose the kindest thing to say is that The Monkey Room is a "work in progress". The hotel/hostal is right in the centre of Marbella Old Town and although it sets out in adverts to be "chic" and "cool" it has a long way to go. While I was there a workman was on site preparing another cubby hole as a bedroom and I think my room was only half-finished. The nights were cold and only a single sheet covered the bed and, after moving my room to the one in the photo (instead of on the roof) I found……

“Pungent scent of mothballs to camouflage the occasional smell of rotten eggs coming from the bathroom. Kitchen needs some work. Mattress sheets too small for the bed. Otherwise spacious and great location ”

“La verdad es que todo ha estado muy bien, la habitación es muy cómoda, la limpieza excelente. El personal es muy atento. El hotel está excelentemente ubicado en el casco antiguo, pero sin el ruido del turismo. Está muy cercano a la playa. Adicionalmente, el desayuno está muy bien, con variedad, y buena atención. ”
