"The Hamaca Hostel is the best in San Pedro. The staff are friendly and the service was excellent. I stayed 1 night to catch a flight the next day but honestly wish I could of stayed longer. It has a cozy yet modern beach-house feel. The location is really safe in a high-end residential area. There is even a Mexican restaurant close by. There is also a bar on site, that has a nice crowd and excellent drinks. I got a free welcome drink just for staying with them. You must try the spicy mango...

"I love Belinda and her customer service. Her Grandma is so sweet too. Most of the time it was quiet but the second night I could not sleep cause of noise caused by some guys playing beer pong till nearly 1 am. I went over and told them to turn it down a notch and they kindly did. For the most part, I love the Hostal and their people. It will always be my home away from home."

"Solo traveler stayed onenight to get to airport with no hassles. Was able to sleep with no noise and woke up before my alarm went off. Good if you do not want to spend too much on hotels for one night. The city weather is hot therefore no hot water available, at least in my room, but water temperature was perfect. "
