"I had a really lovely stay at FogCatcher Inn. The property is quaint, peaceful, and has that classic small-town charm that makes Cambria so special. It’s directly across from Moonstone Beach, which made morning walks and sunset views absolutely beautiful. The location is a huge plus. The room itself was very clean, which I really appreciated, though the property does feel a bit outdated in places. Parking was easy and stress-free, and the overall atmosphere is super quiet and relaxing, perfect if you’re looking to truly unwind. They are also absolutely pet friendly, which is a huge bonus. That said, the WiFi could definitely be stronger, and the amenities are fairly minimal. But if you go in expecting a coz stay rather than a luxury hotel, it really delivers. Overall, a charming spot in a beautiful location. I’d absolutely stay again. "

"I was very excited to stay the weekend here it was supposed to be a couples getaway n turned out no so great. I had stopped earlier to the office to let them know we were gonna check in late but the office was closed. they had gone on their break so finally when I was able to get service n called them about my late arrival not once did they mentioned anything about checking in at another location. we ended arriving around 830 pm n saw that the lobby was closed n we had to check in at the a different location which is inconvenient for us after driving most of the day. since we didn't have service it made it that much more difficult. once I found the other property things went smoothly. I checked in n the wifi wasn't working properly. don't get me wrong the hotel is at a great location. you just cross the street to the beach. the room n bed were average this place needs some tlc for sure. the jacuzzi was probably the only thing I enjoyed here tbh. after the jacuzzi the shower didn't work at all it wasn't a great experience. I think for a little more money you're better off somewhere else. "

"Cute breakfast basket delivered in the morning. Enjoyed the view of cows on the hillside behind the property (across the highway). Moonstone Beach was glorious - steps away across the street. Such a sweet place for a relaxing get away. "

"POSITIVE: - Staff very friendly and helpful. The were attentive, helpful and seemed like really genuine people. - Received individually wrapped chocolate chip cookies and toy cars at checkin, which was a lovely surprise and very much loved by my kids. - Free basic breakfast (croissants, bananas, toast, Pop-Tarts, coffee, tea). Seating available for guests. - Location: 50 minutes from Avila beach, 5 minutes from Hearst Castle, 5 minutes from Cambria. Note it is not beach-front by any means. - Very cute, clean and on-theme lobby, with fully built lego figures on display and a motorcycle. Very fun ambiance in the lobby (only). CONS: - Dingy and dirty. Our room was dark and the carpet was really dingy and dirty. We had to wipe up a spill on the carpet and so much dirt and grime came off on the cloth. It grossed up out. The handle kept falling off of our fridge. Our phone didn't work. There was mold in the bathroom grout. This was the biggest issue about our stay. - Cloudy pool: We were really excited about the indoor pool, given the rainy weather. Disappointed to find cloudy water and general run down feeling of the pool. They did have small pool towels available. Overall, it was an affordable option, but given the cleanliness of the room, I wouldn't recommend it. I really wish I could, because the staff were so welcoming."
