Nice hotel in North Vancouver with Seabus terminal and 20 minutes from downtown Vancouver. Shopping mall within hotel with several restaurants, farmer's market and extensive food court. "Great location and reasonable rate"
The hotel provides good basic accommodations and a friendly helpful staff. The room was clean and the bed very comfortable. The room was noisy as it was next to the service elevator. Parking was on the property for a reasonable fee (Canadian $18). Overall the hotel showed its age but I would stay here again.

"Very pleasant and convenient hotel. "
We were very pleased with this hotel. The staff was very helpful and pleasant.Allowed us to check in earlier than usual since we had done most of the sightseeing uptown (actually downtown Vancouver) and just wanted a place to spend our last night in town. This one was just the tight answer. It was clean, pleasant, comfortable and had a White Spot right off the lobby for a delicious lunch and late dinner. The food was really great after all the exotic, rich food we had consumed on the cruise. And convenient, as it was raining at dinner time and we didn't even have to step outside. The hotel staff was very accomodating. We had a problem with the TV after watching for about an hour. They sent someone up to help. I felt like a fool after he did the usual "pull the plug for 10 seconds" routine. But he was understanding and refused a tip for the service. Very early on the morning of checkout, I had to tie up the printer in the lobby to run back up to my room to get passport numbers which I had left in the room. The Desk clerk was helpful and guarded my terminal so I didn;t have to repeat the boarding pass info again from the beginning. The shuttle to the airport runs 2x hourly and is free in a very nice van with a pleasant driver. Two of the other hotels that I queried did not have free shuttle and rooms were much more costly. While this Coast hotel is not exactly in the tourist section of town we were delighted to have a clean, safe, comfortable and inexpensive place.

"Fine hotel, but nothing to write home about."
The hotel was totally adequate, but a little worn around the edges. The restaurant was average. No breakfast room service, which was dissappointing. Location was excellent for the price. Very walkable to Yaletown and water taxis.

"Convenient"
After putting in a request for a quiet room so that l could work, l was given the noisiest room imaginable. Right beside the very full convention rooms (there was a 'My Little Pony' convention happening, so you can imagine) and with the elevators on my wall. After two hours, l asked to be moved, which resulted in a room in another building but it was quieter. The view from the room though was disgusting. The ledge at the window was full of old rib bones and water bottles. The key cards did not work and when the wonderful cleaner (the nicest person l met there, along with the breakfast staff) let me into the room so that l could request another set, the reception did not bring them. The older reception staff were disinterested in me as a customer while the younger staff were pleasant but obviously dont read notes on requests for quieter rooms when booking people in. The restaurant is expensive and closed on Mondays. The breakfast restaurant is staffed by lovely people but it is a maze to get to (and another building) and small, so the buses tour people that stay, make it a tight squeeze

Out of date and my toilet handle was broken but it still worked. However its very clean and the room was very large. The best part of this hotel is the price and location. You can walk to all kinds of restaurants, shopping and the beach.
