"Was there for a wedding. But night before the wedding they closed the bar at 10:30pm and then told to leave the bar. Guests of the wedding were still arriving and couldn’t sit to great members of their families as there was no place to sit, talk (about tomorrow’s wedding) have a tea, drink or anything. I gave the rating of staff to the manager. Quick enough to take money for wedding but not to cater for wedding party guests that stayed over 1 or 2 nights is a really big turn off. Bad customer...

"Fantastic hotel situated in 60 acres of private grounds to walk and explore all the way down to the shore. Peaceful and tranquil surroundings to relax and enjoy. Excellent service and food from friendly staff. Highly recommend to anyone staying in the area."

"A really good hotel that had great facilities. Two restaurants with excellent choices. Two indoor pools - one just for hotel guests (the other for guests in the lodges). Several comfy rooms for chilling. Lovely grounds for walks and close enough to walk to Brodick. Everywhere is decorated to a very high standard. The staff are a mix of local and world wide - all very friendly and nothing is too much trouble. The whole hotel is dog friendly. Highly recommend "

"A perfectly pleasant stay. However it lacks the human touch. Everything is automated and seems organised to minimise interaction between host and guest. Breakfast - all three courses at the same time left at your door - eating cereal first meant cold bacon sandwich and cold toast. Run for the proprietor not the guest. "

"We spent 3 nights in the St Ninians flat upstairs. The view across the Clyde was fabulous, possibly better than the downstairs flats. The house is well placed for travelling around the island with bus stops nearby. It was kept very clean and the beds were very comfortable and the heating came on when we needed it. "Okay, there’s no pool or jacuzzi, but that’s not the point. Everything was just as it should be from Kenneth’s welcome to his establishment to my leaving two days later. The house is absolutely spotless top to bottom with everything the guest would need for a comfortable stay. Breakfasts were well-cooked and tasty, and ample enough to set one up for the day. Bedroom was well-appointed, with numerous thoughtful details. The bed was comfortable with spotless bed linen. I will return!"
