“This facility was a very pleasant surprise. Big beautiful room, nice harbor room, clean and comfortable. Too bad we only stayed one night. First time guests might be surprised to find no staff on site when checking in. We passed by the entrance at first look because of its innocuous door and recessed signage. “Expedia booked me at the wrong Tarbert. I asked for the Tarbert on Isle of Harris. Apparently, this happens a lot. The hotel I did stay at in the Tarbert I was hoping for said it’s a common mistake. They’ve tried informing booking companies, to no avail. Though I contacted the Anchor about the booking mistake, I was charged full price for a room I was 250 miles from.”
