"A really impressive building - we’ve passed by before and always hoped to stay here. The building is quirky and has so much going for it… probably several £££ million to bring it up to 4* standards, but the staff were super friendly and the room we were assigned was brilliant and had lovely views over the port. Also accommodated for our dog which was really appreciated. The restaurant served a great dinner too and the Scottish breakfast gave us a cracking start on our onward journey. Thank you !"

Something was flapping about in the wind outside my room, which woke me up a few times. Probably from a private garden nearby that the hotel has no control of! A fresh lick of paint, maybe some new furniture and paying attention to high dusting in the room would make this place faultless!"
