“Beautiful historic inn, our only complaints were that our room was along the busy highway and it was loud, the coffee from the pods tasted burnt, and the breakfast was quite bare-bones (somewhat to be expected as it was continental). The fan blades also had a thick layer of dust. Other than that, everything was clean, well-kempt, and cozy/comfortable. I will say we got our hopes up when we saw the sign for a gift shop on-site--there is no gift shop, ”

“We stayed over Thanksgiving with our family and had a wonderful time. The property has a stream running right next to it, which was very relaxing. My only critique is that the stove was disgusting, burnt on food, looked like it hadn’t been deep cleaned ever. The dishwasher handle was broken. There is no garbage disposal, so that’s inconvenient as well. The trash receptacle outside was not large enough for more than four bags, which we obviously exceeded being a large family cooking Thanksgiving……

“The place is interesting, but it’s old. I’m sure it was once lovely when horse drawn carriages were the thing. Now there’s a highway with trucks and cars wizzing down a mountain at speeds well over 55, and you’ll hear every one of them all night long!”

“The location is central to many places in the area. The access to the room is through some ramshackle steps that made me wonder if they would hold up. The fixtures are from the 1990s. The hot tub has hot water, but minimal pressure. If you are expecting to be greeted by hotel staff, you won't. The continential breakfast is do-it-yourself coffee. Three stars.”
