Alaskan adventure

Very lovely cabin tucked under the trees. We really everything about it. Within walking distance to a great little coffee shop. Would stay again!

Simply Incredible spot

Place is amazing, proximity to all kinds of adventures, the resort, HWY, and town of Girdwood. Accomodation itself is super comfortable. Highly endorse. It was a great cabin!

Great Girdwood location

We loved this home! There was plenty of room for everyone, a well stocked and functional kitchen. The Bake Shop is walking distance for the house if you want some fresh sour dough bread and homemade jam! We are looking forward to returning!

Girdwood getaway

Wow, just wow!!! This place was fantastic!! The kitchen was very well stocked from coffee to pancake stuff! As well as all the pots, pans, plates etc to enjoy large meals. The games that were there were fun and the beds were great. We used this as a jumping off point for a full week of fun for our sons wedding, it was perfect. Thank you!!!

I chose this property first because of the excellent pictures. I can say WOW!!! I was blown away!!! The owner said that she had just finished a remodel in the cabin and I thought well great! But when I walked into the Cabin for the first time I was so excited!!! The Location was amazing, mountain views all around you. The snow/mud room at the entry was a genius thought for winter days for sure. You could tell from that point the there was alot of thought put into the layout of the place. The bottom bedroom, separate bathroom and washroom was very nicely done. Plenty of space for kids or adults to just unwind away from everyone. The main floor was amazing!! New everything!!! The cabin felt so solid and cozy at the same time. The kitchen was beautiful, and the granite counters and stainless steel appliances really matched well with the new cabinets. We cooked every evening we were there and the kitchen had every supply I needed to cook some amazing meals. The bathrooms were so clean and the owner thought of everything for you. New fine linens, towels, (sheets were sateen) everything you need to feel like you are on a luxury vacation. I slept like a baby!!! SO peaceful and the HOT TUB!!!! OH MY GOD!!! It was the BEST LUXURY OF ALL! Martini's and Views of the mountains in the evenings were a wonderful end to a day. This place has it all! Matter of fact I referred a friend the day after I left and She called me when she arrived and was nuts about the place!!! I was so jealous!!! She stayed two days after I left and I missed it already! The Cabin has inspired me to build my own and actually move to Girdwood. Jenny you have a little diamond and I so appreciate the fact that you are sharing it for everyone to experience !!! Thank you so much! I will send you everyone I know!!!

Great Base Chalet for Adventures

We know where we are staying our next visit!

We will definitely return to this hidden gem. Centrally located to so many activities. Everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Great communication with owner. Owners were accommodating when we had a family health emergency. We will be back to Alaska and book the Alpine Haus for sure!!!

Vacation/Wedding

This property was excellent! The location was perfect for hiking, wedding and restaurants. Space was great inside, hot tub was good and we really appreciated the soaps, towels and other small items already in the kitchen and bathrooms. The “mud room” was great to hang wet coats and wet shoes without messing up the rest of the floors. The only suggestion we have is to possibly put a dehumidifier in the bottom floor. All of the wet gear gives the bedroom a musty smell. We will be returning to Alaska next year for another wedding and would readily book this same cabin again.

What an outstanding stay

Great location, great accommodations and so well stocked. We had 6 adults, enjoyed a meal at the home with an evening in the Hot Tub and a fire in the fireplace! We all give this home a 5 star!

Excellent Location and Beautiful Accommodations

This was a perfect place to stay. It was in the middle of everything and a walk away from great dining and incredible scenery. We were a fairly quick drive to Anchorage and very close to amazing recreation, helicopter ride to glaciers and ATVing. It was fabulous. Tammi was always quick to respond with questions. I would recommend this place to stay as the most beautiful and centralized area to stay. Thank you again!!!

Son's Wedding

I rented this house for the grooms men and their partners from out of town. They had a great time and were very comfortable and happy to stay in this house. The hot tub was a big hit also.

5 star cabin/home in a great area

The property was as advertised, actually even better than the pictures showed. We were walking distance to the Girdwood Brewery (great beer) and some restaurants (Jack Sprat was wonderful). Our street was very quiet. It has a very well stocked kitchen and a wonderful hot tub. Thanks for sharing this property with us!

Great place in a ski resort town

Had a great time here. Got to see some black bears hanging around outside one morning which was great for the kiddos. Centrally located to the ski resort, tram system up to the mountain top, great trails, and is 45 minutes closer to Kenai than Anchorage. Alaska Wildlife Center is also close. Property was clean, with a lot of the stuff you need to make dinner at the house. Tammie was responsive to any messages. All in all, had a great time here.

Amazing cabin & perfect area!

Right next to a bike shop if you’re interested in renting bikes and exploring the area! The cabin was perfect and very clean! The kitchen was stocked with all the supplies you need to cook and eat. Overall, we had a great time and would definitely come back again.

Don’t stay here

Do not trust property management, they will keep your deposit. My adult children and I were there for three nights. We washed all dishes we took out all trash and we followed every direction outlined for check out. Instructions ask us to hang up dirty linens and I get half the deposit taken because the towels were too dirty and or stained??!! I was told that the hot tub needed to be drained and cleaned when everyone who got in the hot tub showered first. I Challenged this because I had personally checked things before we left and I was told that the refrigerator smelled like fish. The irony is we never cooked any seafood at all. The house is nothing exceptional and clearly the management cannot be trusted. There are many other places to stay in Girdwood that will offer a better experience. I have stayed all over the world and take pride in being a responsible guest. I have had 53 rentals in the past 11 years and never have I felt treated unfairly until now.
