"The staff were great and friendly, food was really good, especially the breakfast. The bedroom was really comfortable and the bed, pillows etc excellent. Stair carpets are tired and stained which gives a negative impression, could be rectified at not too much cost. Loved the atmosphere, would stay again"

"We were looking for a quirky thatched cottage near Abbots Ann, Hampshire, for a few nights and this fit the bill. The beds were clean and comfy. Access was great. We were surprised that towels are not included in the rental but are 5 pounds per person. It’s a very historic cottage so expect this to match your memories from 1966 - cobwebs and all. Thoroughly enjoyable experience (especially breakfasts around the kitchen table!) but three nights with the wonky non-level floors and stairs was our happy limit."

"We had an amazing long weekend at this property with our group of friends and kids (between 6 and 10yrs). The weather was lovely, so we took full advantage of the great outdoor dining / lounge area while the kids played in the large garden. The kitchen was well equipped and we had everything we needed. We really appreciated the large stock of board games and outdoor games for the kids, and the cinema room was great. We also used the tennis court next door, which was an added bonus! We spent a fun afternoon at Finkley Down Farm which was a 15 min drive away - highly recommended! The host was friendly and accommodating, and was really helpful with our questions such as an early check-in and accommodating a camper van. We would not hestiate to book again!"

"Quilt extremely thin, as we're now in autumn, the nights are chilly now.Even with the small blankets.Coffee and tea facilities were very poor, extremely small amount of coffee!!!And 3 tea bags, usually in other places there is more, with maybe some hot choc, and a small packet of biscuits. Also, no milk, again many properties leave just a small bottle at least. Bathroom very cold. Loading and unloading the car quite difficult, although tbh we were told that in the advertisement."

"Beautiful place and an amazing location. After reading the Guest Book comments, which unfortunately we forgot to fill in, I cannot believe that no mentioned the helicopters that fly over, they were AMAZING, they fly over from the nearby Army Airfield and are quite low. They were Apache Gunships and I could have watched them all day. The Air Museum is definitely worth a visit. Unfortunately the resident owl was not at home, but there were a couple of red kites, herons and of course the alpacas. It is a wonderful picture post card village with loads of thatched cottages. And the drive up and home through the village of Brook on the New Forest, seeing the ponies, pigs and sheep just wondering about. We would highly recommend a stay at this beautiful and peaceful home, just to sit outside watching the sunset and the wildlife was more than enough."
