I try to make a few weekend trips to the Binghamton, NY area every month during the summer and Kiteville Owego has been the place I have stayed more often than not, especially when I travel alone. Although the quality of my stay has varied, the price has always been great so I can't complain too much. My trips have gone as follows: Trip #1: Arrived with my wife. There is an Aldi's in the parking, so that made getting snacks for the room convenient, and the location was great for everything we wanted to do in the area. We checked into the room using the code to the door and room they provided (no staff on site, everything is self check-in) and were pleasantly surprised by the size of the room and the cleanliness. The river was right outside the room as well as a cool lighthouse. Unfortunately, however, a bunch of suspicious characters seemed to be lingering randomly throughout the property including right outside the sliding glass door of our room. Trip #2: I arrived with my wife again and once more checked into a 1st floor room but this room wasn't nearly as clean or as in as good condition as the previous room. The major problem was that someone had busted the lock on the sliding glass door leading to the outside and it was not able to lock. After placing numerous calls to property management, and a brief attempt of them sending someone to fix it, I was told it couldn't be fixed... I ran out of characters here, so long story short I will stay here but my wife won't.

The room was clean, but the whole hotel smelled like old house. From the parking lot it looked closed and vacant. The 2nd floor access to main st by a back door and a bridge was Erie looking. Was waiting for the girls from the shining to ride down the hallway. Bathroom had jacuzzi tub. Didn't get to use but it looked nice. Front desk was nice at check in.

Dear Customer Care Team, I am writing to share feedback regarding our recent stay at your Super 8 Sidney location and to request assistance with an upcoming reservation. While we have always had wonderful, clean experiences at your Oneonta location, our stay at this specific property was disappointing. Throughout our entire visit, the hotel smelled strongly of smoke and marijuana, which was particularly concerning as I was traveling with my children. Additionally, the breakfast amenities were lacking. The options were limited to only granola bars and coffee. On most mornings, we had to actively ask the front desk staff to brew the coffee. While the staff members were polite when assisted us, they were frequently unavailable at the desk. We regularly had to go outside to find them because they were out front smoking. By comparison, the Oneonta location offers a great variety of breakfast items and maintains an exceptionally clean environment. We currently have a future reservation to stay at this same location again starting August 10. Given our recent experience, we would like to know if you can accommodate us by transferring this upcoming reservation to the Oneonta location instead.
