"The Mercantile is a recently renovated property, so everything is fresh and new. Rooms are a tad tight, but my understanding is that is to be expected. There isn’t much of a desk, and someone made a poor decision to glue their in-room phone right in the center of the little desk area there is. Bed was comfortable but the pillows are a little tough. Rooms were soundproofed so you don’t hear much outside, and they have great climate control/ air conditioning.
Breakfast service could use a bit of work in its execution and organization, but they’ll get there. All of the staff, from the front desk to the bar, are extremely friendly, kind and helpful. Lovely bartenders that know how to pour a pint of Guinness (very fresh and good). I’d have ate there more if the pub offered a discount for the hotel guests. I would recommend staying here if you’re looking to stay in temple bar. Beautiful spot. "
"There is only 1 flight each day from Philadelphia to Dublin and it lands really early in the morning and the staff was nice enough to get us in our rooms early for check in as we had nowhere to go until check in so I’m so thankful for that from the hotel and its staff "
"We had the best experience at this hotel. The accommodations and staff were above expectations. Rooms were exceptional with comfortable beds and wonderful shower."
"The location, staff, and breakfast were all excellent. The rooms were a bit on the smaller side, but very clean and modern. High end shampoo and conditioner were a plus (ask for lotion, they have that, too). Would definitely stay here again when in Dublin. "
