“My favorite thing about the Lucerne Inn is its unpretentious old world charm. It is very conveniently located outside of Bangor. The staff was super friendly. If the swimming pool were heated I may have taken a dip, but I didn’t mind. Having a cocktail on the deck outside and taking in the view was much better than hanging out in a pool, anyway. The food and drink menu had great selections and very well priced - especially considering g we were there at peak season!”

“The property is dated, and there are some challenges. I was assigned a second floor room (I wasn't asked for a preference) and there is no elevator. However, a very kind cleaning person saw me struggling and carried my suitcase up for me, which was wonderful. Problems in addition to lack of elevator: 1) The key (the old-fashioned kind) didn't always work. 2) The room smelled musty and I had to launder all of the clothes I had brought when I got home, as they had taken on that musty smell. 3)……

“Clean and comfortable cabin in a perfect location to the places I traveled. Peacefu, quiet and serene. Highly recommend to anyone who may be interested. The owners are fantastic hosts and are quick to respond. I kinda didn’t want to leave.”

“Every single thing was excellent starting with check in. Amber at the front desk is a master class in customer service. She was exceptional not only in greeting but in helpfulness about activities in the area. Free ice cream bars were offered to us at check in. Getting around this beautiful hotel was very easy with one exception, the secondary door at entry is not automatic even though the outside entry door is. The room was huge and very clean. Breakfast the following morning wasn’t an out of……

“The hotel is located inside the University of Maine campus, which is quiet, safe, and has convenient parking. The rooms seem to be converted from student dormitories, so the layout is different from typical hotels. The bathroom in my room was exceptionally large, almost at a luxury mansion level, and the bed was also big. The room was clean with high ceilings, but there was no desk available for use, which was somewhat inconvenient.”
