I loved this rental space. Perfect for one person or a couple. very convenient to everyplace I needed to go. Nicely furnished with a very comfortable Murphy bed. I will definitely stay there again.
We were in Austin for Thanksgiving weekend. This guesthouse was perfect for our needs. Check-in was so easy. It was very clean and comfortable. Our host was responsive to our issue with the heat, explaining how to set the heater and even brought over a portable heater just incase. Will definitely consider staying here again the next time we’re in Austin.
Location was easy to find as the directions provided were simple. House/guest quarters were cute and clean. Felt safe and the house had the basics for showering and coffee. Didn’t realize the bed was a Murphy bed until I got there but it was comfortable so no complaints. The little patio area is nice and private. Also the chicken biscuit place basically next door makes for a great breakfast!
We were in town for a wedding. This place was great because it was away from the bustle of the city but close enough to enjoy when we chose to. We drove in to Austin easily on Friday for a welcome party and enjoyed the wedding in Dripping Springs on Saturday. We did some exploring in Waco and San Antonio. The trails in the area are great. Muller Park is a fun place to run and Mt. Bonner is a must is you like an easy hike. The apartment was just big enough for the two of us and had everything we needed.
I really enjoyed this place. Not only was it very clean and easy to get to, it was super cute! I loved the rooftop deck! It was a short drive from downtown. And it was also very close by to the places my daughter and her partner planned on taking me during my stay in Austin.
The only thing that’s keeping me from giving this place 5 stars was the portable AC unit. It was so loud that I could not fall asleep, as I’m a very light sleeper. I was awake the entire night my first night there. It was only after my daughter gave me some earplugs that I was able to drop off to sleep quickly.
Other than that, it’s a wonderful space — really nice for a couple on a romantic getaway or even a single traveler like myself.
Another thing to mention: This would not be an ideal place for someone with mobility issues, as one has to climb a long set of stairs to get to the apartment. And schlepping a heavy suitcase just adds to the challenge.
But other than that, I very much enjoyed my stay.

Liked: Check-in, location
Disliked: Cleanliness
ok for a short trip- not clean
Really enjoyed the patio deck and the cleaning person who dropped sheets off was friendly.
Not a ton of space- but if you’re only looking for a place to lay your head/ very short term rental then this is an ok spot. We were in town for F1 race and cost wise this was ideal. Lots of spots to eat close by.
Cleanliness of this rental was nowhere near the standard. I do a walkthrough/ wipe down wherever I stay and I was starting to clean the walls . The sheets were soft, but dirty. When I asked for more sheets it was a“ oh I’m sure the sheets were clean but someone can drop off new sheets in the next hour” . I didn’t like that response at all. Apologize for the dirty sheets and keep it pushing. We found dried food- looked like food- stuck to the base of the toilet and on the shower mat. Hair and other debris on the plates and kitchenette shelving. So many stains on the walls and light fixtures. The shower curtain had brown crud on it. It was just not clean.
So cute quiet get away for my birthday. Loved big patio.
Texted owner at 2am about ac (so sorry for late text btw) and she responded kindly and as soon as she could.
This cute, clean little efficiency unit has everything you need. Comfy bed, rooftop patio in the shade, nicely appointed. Coffee and shopping close by; downtown 10 minutes away. Safe neighborhood for walking.
No major issues, but just not the best experience I've ever had.

Liked: Cleanliness, check-in
Disliked: Location, listing accuracy
Busy intersection
I would have liked more honesty about 1) the deck overlooks a Shell station 2) please label photos indicating which unit they represent 3) needed a knife for cutting 4) maybe a few more glasses/cups
Please add info about the area. Eg let people know they absolutely need a car to stay here
Except for the extremely soft squishy mattress, this property was perfect. I couldn't give 5 for overall rating. I ended up sleeping sideways across the end of the bed to get more support. I have a tempurpedic mattress at home which I realize gives super support. However, I've never slept on a mattress this soft. Perhaps it's bc being stored as a Murphy bed, it has to be light weight & consequently soft. The linens were lovely.
The check in process was super easy. The place essentially had everything we needed for a quick overnight stay. There are 2 AC units in the room. One standing one that hooks up to a window to vent outside which was very loud, and another above the bed that had a remote. The remote wasn't working properly and kept powering on and off when trying to set a temperature. We thought we figured it out but it was just very muggy in the room. The rooftop patio was very cute but the patio door didn't lock because it was broken. There were a lot of homeless people in the area.
We had a nice stay at the VRBO in Brentwood.
The place was clean.
Quite small, but the deck saved us and the weather was mostly nice, so we could be outside.
The location was good for walking to some restaurants, etc.
Would recommend.
