the pictures did not represent what i signed up for. there was no dining area, no pool, and the bar was just a counter in the lobby. there was a lot of construction going on, and i could see where the outdoor dining area would have been. i understand everyone has to renovate, but a heads up would have been nice. the only thing that saved this stay was the fact that they did not charge me the $50 a night to park at check out. room and staff were very nice.

The property was fun and retro. The pool area more for adults verse kids. The food choices were between a breakfast quick in lobby area with coffee. I personally did not enjoy nor the coffee. The pool and bar area downstairs was better. More like bar food. But being in Austin we were able to find plenty of yummy food around town. Safe area. The valet was great. My large SUV was parked in front verse garage so I appreciated that. The pool amd bar area turns into a night club. I'm close to 50 so was not a turn on for me but I saw people having a blast. Was very busy! The pool/bar area manager was sweet. Introduced herself and explained offerings. My room was clean and quiet. I rated 4 for facilities as in breakfast and coffee was a bust.

This is one of my favorite hotels downtown and it’s even nicer after the renovations! The 80’s/90’s/Miami vice vibe are such a cool aesthetic and the addition of the Swim Club restaurant and pool were a huge plus!!

A very fun and eclectic Austin experience. Everyone was super friendly and the decor is fun mid century modern like. Great dinning and drink options at 'The Swim Club' restaurant and the 'Morning Bird' breakfast and lunch offerings. Extremely pet friendly as well. Highly recommended!!!

I recently stayed at the Downright Hotel in Austin, Texas, formerly known as the Sheraton, with my fiancé and our eight-month-old daughter. We stayed in a well-maintained two-bedroom suite. The room was excellent, and we greatly appreciated the vintage vibes and aesthetic throughout the entire property. There were some transitions occurring from the bar to the restaurant, which limited our ability to fully enjoy the restaurant, but this was entirely understandable. The staff were exceptionally friendly, and the bartenders, particularly Taylor, provided excellent service. The breakfast offered on the property was both delicious and satisfying. We look forward to staying at this hotel again whenever we are in Austin, Texas. Thank you for hosting us.

I stayed here for work, will not be returning. I was told the restaurant would be closed for lack of occupancy...ok fine. I was then told that I couldn't have a late check out two days later. How is it that there are so few people staying there that you can't open the restaurant but also that there's no way for me to have a late check out? I can see why nobody is staying at the hotel. Good luck.

I LOVED the customer service! I was their for 4 days/3 nights & EVERY single person on your staff during that time, provide 5 star service! From the valet, to the front desk, to the bar staff, to the restaurant staff, all class acts! And, your gym, was PHENOMENAL! All the essential equipment need to stay in shape, & they were clean & working. Now, for the reasons I didn't give it a perfect rating: Despite getting a non-smoking room, there was still the lingering smell of smoke. while it wasn't enough to ruin my visit, it was still persistent enough to make me aware of it. Lastly, my shower only had one glass partition to keep the water from hitting the floor. It seemed to me it was on purpose & not an error, or unsolved problem. I didn't understand that design, & I didn't enjoy having to use towels (besides the one they provide as a mat of sorts) to keep me from slipping & falling. But, otherwise, it was an excellent experience & very worth the value!
