I travel a lot and like to check in when I get into town, even if the room isn't ready yet, just to make sure I can later enter my room later, in peace etc.. I drove 4 hours, Located the motel. Went to the office and the door wouldn't open. My arrival was on the 4th of July. I saw a note taped on the door that told me the office wasn't staffed and if I had any questions regarding a room to check my email or call this number. I called the number listed 5 times and no one answered. I could not leave a message because the owner did not set up their message line. I panicked. I feared I paid for a room on a holiday and no room existed. I sat in my car and continued to call the number over and over. Finally, someone from staff answered. . I was told I had failed by not reading all of the emails sent in full. Each email sent offered more information on how to check in by myself. It was all self guided. I did receive the emails, however, I read the first paragraph only and it was like any other motel email, that welcomes you and thanks you for booking. I did not poor myself a cup of coffee and continue to read each one as I was on the road. After filing out an application online, providing license and photo. I was given the code to get in. This was an hour of work on the computer that wasn't expected. They need to hire someone to run the motel, like everyone else. A welcome greeting from a human being far out ways AI. It was really a cold way of handling customers.

Convenient, clean, quiet & great location.

This property should not be used until it has updates. The electrical system is very old, plugs won’t stay in, you have to unplug items to not trip a circuit and I felt unsafe. The heating wall gas heating unit did not function and I was very happy to see CO monitors in place. This unit looked like it was from the 40’s. The paint is chipped, there are large chunks of wood missing and an all of the faucets dripped water. This was not the unit I chose at booking but was given to us due to repairs on the original unit. The office, staff and restaurant were outstanding.

This was our second time staying at Grandview. Great property, good cabins, staff is friendly. Can’t wait to go back and stay again!

This hotel was sufficient. It met our needs and was clean and the staff were nice. Breakfast was good. Only negative was no pool. But, they didn't advertise they had one, so it's not like they tried to trick anyone. Just would have been nice for the kids. Overall, a good solid hotel in an area where there aren't many.
