Apt for this particular place as there is no history to speak of other than the fact that  Macbeth, the character in the play, was given the the tile Thane of Cawdor whose descendants privately owned the beach before it became part of the Stackpole Estate.

Must say though, the beach and the bay are spectacular.

“We arrived to no one around and after walking around the property finally saw an envelope with our name on it and our key. Our room smelt moldy and damp. The carpet was dirty and the walls were peeling. The beds were very uncomfortable. It was shocking to see after such a high rating. The yard was unkempt and there was a general air of neglect about the whole place. ”

“Wow what a transformation Imperial Hotel has had. So impressive love the new design of the hotel it is so modern and so bright. So comfortable the new beds, fab decoration in the room, so clean, amazing shower and a huge HD interactive television. Also loved the Welsh cakes, cans of Welsh water, Welsh coffee and quality tea selection. As usual the staff are amazing especially the receptionist. We will definitely stay again.”
