“One night stay. We had a ground floor room with a small balcony onto the water, which was great. The view was stunning and we were entertained by a family of swans, passing ducks, house martins and swallows. Bed was a good size and was reasonably comfortable. The furniture is starting to show its age. Both the breakfast room and the restaurant played pointless music both inside and even more annoyingly outside! We were disappointed with some of the food at the restaurant, which was overpriced.……

“Having just returned from a five star hotel in Italy St Leonard’s was every bit as good. Never having stayed in a b and b this was excellent. Well done !!”

“we stayed in room 4 and despite having a radiator this was centrally controlled by the main reception. we found this out on night 2 as when we went to bed on the first night we whacked the radiator on thinking that would be that but nope, cold as ice through the night. reception did sort but the room didnt get that warm so assuming the thermostatic valve wasnt fully operational. the shower screen squeegee at the bottom didnt properly fit and a gap up at the hinge point meant water escapes onto……

“The property was nice overall, pretty much a place to sleep, while you visit around the area. The staff was superb and super helpful, in every way possible. The negatives are that the TV would lose signal, hence no way of connecting to local and/or online. The hotel could use a bit of updating, but overall there is nothing really wrong with it. No complaints on the food or bar.”

“The Loans Inn is a beautiful destination. A “resort”-style establishment within a village setting. The Loans is offers nice - clean - well-appointed hotel rooms, plus a nice restaurant and pub. Live entertainment - courteous staff. The local town is wonderfully social and friendly (within a mile of Royal Troon Golf Course - one of the British Open courses) and still farms very nearby.”
