“They were painting & varnishing the doors of the rooms (including the interior bathroom doors) the day we arrived, which was a busy Saturday! The doors were all tacky & the fumes were strong. The room needed a deep clean, for sure & there were no outlets by the bed like most hotels have. Breakfast was not well laid out & the sausage patties were half dried out, like sausage jerky. The bedding was lumpy & the pillows smelled old & very used. Also, I understand that renovations need to be done,……

“The room itself was fine, but there was construction for renovations the whole stay that made the elevator unavailable. The amenities were also not available, including the gym, pool and breakfast, which we chose this hotel for. I shouldn't have to relocate for these amenities when I paid full price for a room. The convenience is part of the reason we chose it. Very poor planning on behalf of Hilton management. The town's biggest event was during the time they started renovations and affected……

“It is inconvenient to be in the shower and discover that the soap dispenser is empty. Also, there was no hair dryer or water glasses and the bathroom door did not completely close. as it seemed to be swollen or something. The room phone did not work so you had to go to the desk to let them know. We didn't bother since we were only staying one night. I let them know about the deficiencies when we left in the morning. Although it was not too bad, I did not like the idea of having a handicapped……
