“For an inexpensive street side motel I was pleasantly impressed. There were some trucks in the morning driving by, and that was noticeable but I got a good night’s sleep.”

The mattress was terrible & no drapes on windows just shades so the street light came in all night. Had a family wedding so it was convenient.”

“Overall, the front desk staff were not very welcoming or helpful or interested in greeting or answering questions or giving information about the hotel. We had to kind of figure things out by ourselves. Looking closely at the room, decor, and the dead bugs in the window and the decor and the restaurant you get a cheaper vibe for the enormous price you pay for this place. Our worst experience was The Edge restaurant. Very overpriced and disappointing for what is marketed as a high-end dining……

“Fine old hotel full of character. Conveniently located in downtown. Good restaurant, spa on the property, many quiet and comfortable places for friends to gather and converse. A mildly unpleasant experience at checkout: a somewhat curt staff member. Well worth considering for a stay in Dubuque, a hotel rich in history.”
