Belvoir Park Golf Club is a prestigious course ranked by several professionals as among the best inland courses in the UK. Founded in 1927, over the years Belvoir Park, which is set in 136 acres of glorious woodland, has hosted the Irish Open and the Irish PGA, among other competitions.
The club is easily accessible, just a couple of miles from Belfast city centre, and a convenient 15-minute drive from the airport, so if you have an early landing you could potentially be on the links before lunch. Speaking of which, Belvoir Park Golf Club is an exceptional place for dining. The restaurant and bar, aptly named The View on account of its stunning views of Belfast and the nearby Black Mountains, is highly regarded, serving traditional Irish cuisine prepared from locally sourced ingredients in a friendly and relaxed environment. Numerous entertainments are held here, from BBQs and Sunday carveries to seasonal events such as the popular annual Easter Egg hunt.
The course was designed by the famed golf course architect, HS Colt, and boasts 18 holes with a par of 71. A dress code applies for both ladies and gentlemen, and availability for tee times can be checked online. The club accepts online bookings 24/7. There are also a few buggies available for hire if you overdo it at lunch!
