Lodges in Blue Ridge Parkway

"This property is beautiful and close to the strip with all the attractions, restaurants and bars. Everything is in walking distance. We were right next-door to the Ripley's Aquarium. We were told at check in that black bears like to roam the property and to be cautious. We saw bears numerous times while staying. Our balcony overlooked the river and a bear enjoyed it every day we were there. I gave 4 stars only because I was woken up numerous times during the night with children running down the hall and being extremely loud at late hours. It seems everything in the hallway echos through the room significantly. Besides this one issue, the rooms are modern and clean. "

"I checked in, saw the room, checked out. The room was mucky and damp. The "balcony" was littered with beer cans and cigarette butts. We tried to look over those things but then we saw the condition of the bed. I do not like to leave bad reviews. I do not recommend this place. I probably would have had confrontation with the manager had I not recognize right from the start she was going to be combative with us. So I was very passive in order to get my refund. "

"The Check in staff was amazing. We checked in between 4pm - 5pm the front desk attendant was warm, personable and kicked the trip off with a lovely welcome. "

"Great views and loved the hotel. Bathrooms and beds very clean- rooms were nice. Restaurant nice, pool and location were great. Walking distance to everything. Only bad point was the bar. Bar had the worst staff and service I have ever experienced. Completely incompetent bartenders."

"Everything was great and we love staying here! Only thing that we were disappointed with was that the parrots, Holly and Rita, were no longer there which we always loved to see. But we love the location and everything about the resort and this will be where we always stay. "
