This is an old motel that probably has some classic “New England charm,” just not in the attic that was our room. Awful beds with broken mattresses and poor ventilation added up to a bad sleeping experience at a baseline. The bathrooms were also rather suspect and one had no soap available to use. The nicest thing I can say was about the staff, who were at least prompt and polite/easy to work with. Definitely could not recommend over a hotel chain at a similar price point.

Great little spot tucked off the main road but still very convenient to the BU area. If you’re self sufficient and/or are only staying for one or two nights, this place is perfect.

Unclean! I got bitten by a bed bug!! The room was very old! Only if you want cheap places to stay in the downtown Boston.

My review is for single bedroom at both 23 Farrington Ave and 36 Farrington Ave. I booked a room at 23 Farrington Ave sharing bathroom with others. I was then offered to upgrade to a unit at 36 Farrington Ave with private bathroom. Pros: Cheap. Staffs were very friendly and nice. Cons: Both units were dirty and lack of amenities. No shampoo, toothbrush, etc. More than half plugins had no power. I suspect the unit at 23 Farrington Ave is infected with rodents. The environment was unsafe and noisy. Doors and locks were in bad condition. I feel unease and difficult to sleep at night.

for the price this is the best there is for the BCEC. The staff was really nice and I had no problems
