The inn was a bit run down, but we felt safe and were pleased with the affordability. The beds were comfortable and the area was quiet.
(The beds were made when we arrived.) The carpet was pretty gross. Grafitu on the wall art. Other than these things, the room was safe, comfortable, and quiet.

The Farrington Inn has a wonderful staff and is located near the Harvard Ave train stop. The room we stayed in had a private bathroom, kitchenette, and comfortable bed. It was a great place for the price! We would definitely stay there again!

Admittedly, the amenities were pretty slim compared to Motel 6, but the price and location made up for it! We had an early flight out of Logan and managed to get there quickly. Would definitely go back!

Good easy location from I-90 & cheap price. Easy access to City and Fenway Park. Walk or T. Rooms very basic and place is old and run down. Good for 1 night stay or weekend sleep base. We were out all day for both days snd just slept in room. 2 star at best

Allston is a working class neighborhood with lots of students. There are a great selection of restaurants; especially Asian fare. So many great places to eat and explore. There is some urban blight and decay.

Bed, pillows & linens were comfortable! No towels in the room. Never asked about options, so be prepared or ask ahead. Staff was helpful and parking was excellent! The price was right, and the area great for dining, walking, though don’t expect the Ritz. If the property were more posh, the price would be too! There are very delicious options, Asia, Ethnic, Breakfast restaurants. Enjoy!

In general it was nice. Staff was very good, helped with the luggage. I wish there were soap and clean towels in the bathroom or in the room, but that's OK, we were prepared.

It has a ton of history and I felt safe sleeping in my room. I arrived late because I had a flight next morning and it was the only somewhat affordable hotel. Reception was very kind and actually upgraded me for my 1 night stay. Recommend if you need something close to airport & don’t mind sleeping in something historical .

Check in was easy, the staff was friendly and professional. The rest needs improvement! Room carpet was stained. The room smelled of smoke. The towel was stained. Some electrical outlets didn’t work. I waited 20 minutes for the shared bathroom. 6 or more rooms to one bathroom. Paint was peeling, tiles were cracked. For the price, I would expect better, considering that I had to share a bathroom.

It was just what we needed. The staff was pleasant and helpful. The room was clean, comfortable, and safe. The airconditioner worked well and the there were towels and toiletries that we needed. Be advised that it is a walk up but that was no issue for us. Yes, it is old but it is clean and safe.

It was convenient to restaurant selections. My room included a bathroom so that was a surprise. It didn't have a glass or a cup, yet it had a microwave and a refrigerator. There was no washcloth. I felt the sprngs in the mattress while I slept. The hallway rugs appeared worn and dirty.

Great room for the price

This place was awesome! The suite I stayed in was huge, and I couldn't believe how nice the kitchen was, and there was even a washer and a dryer. The other occupants were quiet, and respectful of privacy and shared spaces. The price was great, and it was amazing to be able to stay within walking distance of so many great music venues and restaurants. The staff was friendly and helpful.

Had more of a 'hostel' vibe than a hotel (e.g., we had a shared bathroom, although there were several available at any given time). bed was a bit soft. Location was terrific (9 minute walk from the T). We got one of the limited onsite parking spots (reasonably priced at $10/day), but I could see this being an issue. If you have issues with mobility, it might pose a problem since there is no elevator.

I was completely satisfied with what I paid for. Perfect for ovation and cost to explore the city. Not glamorous , but just fine for me. And they were incredibly nice, easy to deal with and bent over backwards to work with me on my dates and travel schedule due to work issues. I have zero complaints.

The property got the job done when it came to having a place to sleep, showers and bathroom areas were dirty, moldy and in deep need of renovation. The shower on our floor was clogged with water pooling in the bottom so we had to use the one upstairs. There were bugs in the kitchen as well. There was laundry that worked which was a plus and there was air conditioning in the room. Everything else was in pretty poor condition but got the job done for the price range. Would only stay again if we were desperate.

Dreary entryway; dirty rugs throughout; bathroom sink cracked, with broken plastic hot water handle; broken window shade in bathroom; what little furniture that was in the bedroom was grimy and dirty; only a single overhead light in bedroom with no night stands with lamps; TV had only one channel, and to make that work you had to plug and unplug the TV; walls in the stairwells were cracked with pieces on the stairs; building and surrounding property was in ill-repair. On the positive side, the staff was nice.
