Small, quiet and perfect!
This is my second time staying at this property. We came back because, well, we really like Tom's place. It's not uber fancy. If that's what you want, maybe look elsewhere. However, if you're looking for a cute home in a quiet and secluded neighborhood that's clean and has everything you need for a nice getaway, this is your spot. I'm sure we'll be back again.

Absolutely Fabulous!
This house was perfect for us! A water view from every window of the house, and near the end of a dead-end road so it was very quiet. A well equipped kitchen for cooking, the room darkening shades were great for sleeping and could be fully lifted to let in the sunlight and nature views. Couches & bed were very comfortable, and the fireplace added a really nice touch. The owner was extremely easy and pleasant to communicate with. We watched the solar eclipse over beautiful Lake Oneida, and on other days checked out the sights in the area. We've been renting vacation houses for over 30 years and this was quite possibly the nicest - would rent it again in a heartbeat!

Great little place a real gem
When planning a trip to Syracuse a few months ago I came across this particular listing and I'm glad I did. This house was perfect for my wife, twin 10-year-olds, and me to stay for a few days. The location was great for us as my dad lives just a couple of miles away and the rest of our friends and family were close by. The property was clean (and I'm really fussy) and included all the amenities you would need to stay a few days, towels/linens, cookware & utensils, small appliances, paper products, and a gas stove for cooking. The lake view was incredible and there is a nice deck to enjoy it from. We had some family over for a small get-together and were able to open both ends of the garage to hang out since it was raining. The property also included a folding table, several plastic chairs, and a couple of fold-out chairs that we were able to put to good use. Overall our experience here was outstanding and I wouldn't hesitate to book this property again the next time we are up visiting.

Perfect lakefront getaway
This is absolutely one of those Gems on Vrbo - what a wonderful house, location and owner. The house listing is exactly what is appears in the pictures provided and more. Very clean and nicely kept up. There is a lovely new deck off the back where we ate a lot of our meals as well as nice fire pit in the yard - perfect for smores in the evening. We enjoyed the fireplace inside after smores for movie night with our kids - they loved everything about the house. The chair swing was their favorite spot to hang with views of the lake. We took advantage of the kayaks and the grill as well. The dock was the perfect size for us, which we used for fishing and swimming in the lake. We also ventured out into town for a couple of meals - it is a very nice lake community with lots of friendly people. It was an easy and fun vacation without the giant price tag. Thanks, Tom! I highly recommend!!

Easy Lake Access and Beautiful View
House was clean and comfortable, and everything was in order. Host was pleasant and friendly, but not intrusive. Location was perfect! Lake view + easy lake access. Two kayaks (+ two bicycles). What more can you ask for? It was a beautiful vacation, and we hope to come back again.

This is our 2nd summer. The only minor complaint is the grass needed to be mowed & we ran out of propane for the grill. Also, I think some utensils & kitchen items were missing, can opener, spoons… Otherwise, Tom is great along with location of the camp.

We had such a hard time leaving this place. Pictures and description were very accurate. It had everything we could have possibly needed. Tom is there to answer any questions you may have. Simplicity
Upon driving out to the home, you feel a sense of peace and tranquillity. The home is near the end of the dead end road which helps you feel removed from the town. Even though there are neighbors on both sides, it didn’t feel cramped. The rental was perfect for what we were looking for. It was quaint and homey and checked all the boxes we needed it to. We took advantage of the kayaks and rowed around the point to view the sunsets each night. Tom, the owner, is a nice, down to earth man who made us feel at home and was there to answer any questions we had. Overall it was a nice getaway for my wife and I and we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend or use this rental again in the future.

Near Perfect, Relaxing Lakeside Stay
We really enjoyed our peaceful time by the lake. We were pleasantly surprised by a new lakeside deck that was perfect for enjoying the views. The kayaks were easy to get on the water. And, the proximity to friends, family, and activities in the area was a bonus.

So cozy
Loved waking up to the beautiful views of the lake. This cottage had everything you need and was easy to find in a nice neighborhood. The bathroom was spacious and the bidet toilet was easy to use. Having the washer and dryer was very convenient . I would have enjoyed using the bikes and outside chairs, but they weren't ready for summer use yet.

We enjoyed our stay at the property. It was pleasant and quiet. There are a few great places to get a meal nearby. Much needed time to unwind. We also were able to go kayaking and sailing during our stay. The host is amiable and responsive via VRBO email. Overall good experience!

Great lakefront cottage
Had a wonderfully quiet and restful 4 nite stay. Owner,Tom, greeted us upon arrival and took a few minutes to show us around. Clean, neat older camp in a quiet neighborhood. I caught fish off the dock. Kayaks were available. View is awesome. Moon shone on the lake. Nice firepit. We will return.
