Spend a night, a weekend or a week at one of the most unique properties in all of the Finger Lakes. Clifftop is a 20 acre paradise, with unforgettable Sunset, Seneca Lake, and village views. Perched atop a bluff and high above the lake, enjoy your very own private compound, only 1 mile from the center of Watkins Glen, at the gateway to the east Seneca Lake wine trail. Hike along thousands of feet of clifftop trails, then descend into a magnificent gorge with several waterfalls, flanked by hemlock, periwinkle, and stone formations.

Take an hour or a day; relax within this private natural paradise. Hike back up to the many cliff top nature trails and take in the bee balm, shaded canopy, and daily visits by the bald eagles and osprey that inhabit our area. Or "stay put." Kick back on the deck or lawn directly in front of your room. Sun bathe, nap, or simply enjoy the sailboats, western bluffs, and village below. The Rookery, our upper level hemlock lodge, has 2 king bedrooms(one is a suite) each with deluxe bath, including 6' soaker tub and shower. The full kitchen and entry room provide plenty of elbow room, and 3 patio doors lead to the 50' x 9' deck, located 200' above the lake, below. The large kitchen has quartz counters, all new appliances, lovely maple wood floors. Large glass fireplace. A short distance from your back door is a beautiful view area with your own under the stars fire pit.

Lovely Lakeview Getaway
Comfortable, cosy bungalow that is exactly as described & pictured on Vrbo. The gracious, friendly owners are onsite & greeted us when we arrived & said goodbye when we departed. The bungalow features a great layout for two couples as there are two king bedrooms with en suite bathrooms, one of which has a second door to the common area. These private areas are separated by the living room, dining room, & kitchen which provides some welcome privacy. An SUV or 4-wheel drive car may be helpful accessing the property which is reached via a steep, unpaved drive. Other minor quibbles are low water pressure in the showers & uneven Wi-Fi. Overall we’d heartily recommend this listing to vacationers.

Always a Pleasure
This was our fourth stay at this beautiful home in the past four years, and we already can't wait for our fifth. The location is perfect: private and secluded on the clifftop, but incredibly close and convenient to everything. The house is warm, welcoming, and always immaculate, with two fabulous master suites and a spacious deck with incredible views. Most special of all, though, are Cindy and Ed, the two warmest, nicest hosts you could ever hope to have in a rental property; they're kind and responsive, always available for anything you need. I've put this in a review before, and I'll say it again: coming back to this house feels like coming home. I can't recommend it highly enough.

Third Time's the Charm
This was the third time we stayed in Cindy & Ed's lovely home in the past four years, and it certainly won't be the last. It feels like home away from home: a clean, cozy, comfortable place to relax. The property is beautiful, the views of Seneca Lake are gorgeous, and the location is convenient to everything. This is my best ever experience. The owners were SUPER nice. The property was clean and exactly as advertised. The owners assisted with my mom who is older and has some mobility challenges. The cottage was well stocked - there were ample towels and little things we forgot, like ziploc bags. I highly recommend. Jim from Texas

A fantastic getaway
I brought my mom on our first solely-together trip in many years, and both she and I were thrilled with this clifftop home. Cindy was incredibly welcoming and even did a little homework for us for restaurant and shopping recommendations. The home is set up perfectly for a family group and each bathroom is thoughtfully appointed. We didn't get to cook but the kitchen is well stocked and has a large refrigerator. The amount and quality of amenities is a giant step above the average rental. The deck and view are what you come for and having a quiet sit with the birds singing while watching boats on the lake is quite lovely. We're looking forward to coming back again.

Amazing Seneca Lake retreat
If you’re traveling to Seneca Lake in the finger lakes this is the best place to stay. Minutes from downtown and close to all of the wineries, breweries and amazing hiking. The home was clean, spacious, and had an unbeatable view of the lake. You have direct views of the incredible finger lakes sunset. The hosts were friendly and accommodating and made the stay even more comfortable. We loved our trip and would absolutely stay here again!!

Beautiful spot for a double birthday weekend getaway! The accommodations were very comfortable and clean with a phenomenal view of Lake Seneca! Cindy was amazing, everything was just as listed, the two bedroom home was perfect, views are great, home is open and large, furniture and beds were extremely comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed and then some! Cindy was always available to assist with anything we needed or to provide a meal recommendation. This property is so convenient with most things from Corning to Ithaca only a 30 minute drive away. This lovely 2 BR/2 BA house overlooks Seneca Lake--huge deck with chairs so you can sit and enjoy the view! The house is furnished beautifully and is super comfortable. Nice mattresses, linens, kitchen necessities, furniture. Bedrooms are very comfortable with nice TVs and streaming. Location is only a couple of miles from Watkins Glen, a cute town with lots of charm and also history (Watkins Glen Raceway)

This property is amazing! We stayed here with another couple for two nights, and wish we had stayed longer so we could enjoy the house, lake views and walking trails even more. The house and property are so inviting that you'll want to spend a day there simply relaxing, drinking wine and enjoying the lake views. The house decor is beautiful - very clean and very high end. Both bedrooms overlook the lake with amazing views. We're already planning to return next year!

Great Place and Scenery on Seneca Lake
Cindy and Ed were fantastic hosts. The home was immaculate and the views were stunning. I was even able to spot a pair of bald eagles on the last day. The house is minutes away from vineyards, Glen Falls, and local restaurants. Definitely plan to visit again. Looking forward to the next trip.

Wow! How Perfect!
The home is spotless, beautiful and sits up above the lake on a bluff. It has essentially a wall of windows facing the deck and the lake. The views are amazing. Two bedrooms flank the large and comfortable living room with lovely views from everywhere. Each room has its own bathroom and every comfort is available. Our hosts were lovely people - fabulous to deal with and very helpful. I would recommend this rental to anyone. We had an idyllic stay.

The location of this house is ideal for exploring the Finger Lakes; Lake Seneca, Keuka and Cayuga Lakes in particular. The view from the property overlooking Lake Seneca is amazing; especially at sunset. The house is exactly as described - Very clean, comfortable and inviting. And the hosts were incredibly gracious and helpful. It was a pleasure to get to spend time with them as well. I would recommend this house to my friends and family.
