Better than a B&B for us!

Posted Sep 2, 2015
Pros: The breakfast selection. Very professional and kind staff. Cleanliness of the room and hotel overall. The swimming pool
Cons: The pool could be heated a few more degrees. The mattress on the sofa bed could be more comfortable - maybe dense foam instead of spring mattress??
Location: Tim Hortons, A&W, and a restaurant were right next door. The airport is close by. There are malls within 20 minutes driving. 5-10 min to Deerfoot.
We recently traveled to Calgary and stayed at this hotel for two nights. We appreciated the space and cleanliness of the room, the helpfulness of the staff, and the quiet night sleep. Our room was on the 4th floor and faced north, which was very quiet. We heard nothing, except the odd talking in the hall of other guests. The scenery was a business park, but that was easily ignored. We were surprised with the free snack bar (available Mon - Thurs) and thoroughly enjoyed the breakfast buffet. Our children enjoyed the pool and hot tub - although I found the pool a bit too cold for comfortable swimming. The sofa bed could be a bit more comfortable. It is suitable for small children, but was tolerable for a short stay. As we left, our youngest daughter asked if we could stay 10 nights next time. We hope to do this again in the near future and will make it longer than two nights. This will definitely be our hotel for Calgary visits!

Close to airport. Clean and convenient.

Posted Aug 29, 2015
Pros: Convenient and close to the airport. Comfortable and clean.
Cons: The queen beds could be changed to kings and a tad more comfortable.
Location: We were there to visit with our grand child so didn't do much else. Again location is close to the airport and is kid friendly.
Staff are extremely helpful and friendly. The check in was quick. The rooms are big and the kitchens are well stocked. The included breakfasts were really good and every day it was something different. We will be returning to this hotel.

Nice hotel with great staff

Posted Aug 22, 2015
Pros: The staff! And, the great Cactus Club restaurant nearby.
Location: Cactus Club restaurant
We just had a horrendous 48 hour travel ordeal and the staff we stayed here for one night. The staff was very accomodating and extremely friendly and helpful. The only downer was that it was a bit further from the airport than we realized and the shuttle stops at 10:30 pm. It would've been perfect if our original travel plans worked out but it wasn't their fault! The breakfast was also very good with lots of choices.

Modern & clean hotel near the airport

Posted Aug 16, 2015
Pros: Parking is easy and plentiful. Driving anywhere was very straightforward.
A comfortable, very clean, modern set of suites in the middle of an "industrial park" - no industry around, just offices and warehouses. So no place to go for a walk but it is perfectly safe and super clean all around. The best aspect of this hotel is the staff - so ready to help, courteous, friendly, go out of their way to assist, follow up any request with a call to your room to make sure you don't need anything (Heather in our case). This somehow transfers to guests and people were genuinely friendly to each other, chatting, offering room at the breakfast tables - the space for breakfast is attractive (very nice wooden blinds to block the morning sun) but can get crowded. A small pool was used by families with children. The staff offered every child a small plush toy at check-in or check-out. These gestures make the place memorable and above the usual chain hotel.

Decent hotel for a quick stay without family

Posted Aug 16, 2015
OK location. Good for a short stay but would ot stay longer then a few days. Bed was terrible and too small for two adults. The pullout bed in the couch was dirty with no mattress cover and the mattress was awful. I refused to let my child sleep on it.

Pros: Excellent Service and very welcoming employees. We enjoyed our stay a lot.
We are a small german family with a 10 months old son. The Hotel Suites were perfectly equipped for our purposes and we explored Calgary and the sorroundings from there for a couple of days. The staff is very friendly and truely helpful. After staying 4 weeks in Canada overall. This Hotel impressed us the most. We will come back.

Stayed the weekend to explore Calgary. Hotel conveniently located near the airport and served as a good base for exploring Calgary.

Having stayed there twice now I have seen a change b/w first and recent stay. The hotel is good value and comfortable but looks a bit worn around the edges, the heating the in rooms was hard to control, beds terrible, pool freezing and overall clients ranged from ordinary tourists and travelling salesman to what seemed like some who appeared very rough and tumble, long term residents. Travelling by myself with my two small kids I felt slightly uncomfortable at times. The only way to escape this would be to charge more but lessen value, hard call.
