“Quiet, peaceful setting We had a wonderful time”

“The tiny cabin was great for 2 people. Definitely go in the daylight to find it easier but we did no problem. Glad I drive a Jeep because a low vehicle will not like the non-paved road. We are coffee drinkers, I brought some coffee but the cabin could use more. Also maybe bigger towels! But overall, the place was great for 2! ”

“We loved the house and the area. We did have to purchase spray and treat around the foundation as ants kept crawling inside. One night they ended up my granddaughter's bed and her hand was all bit up in the morning. The yard is great but could use a bbq pit ( charcoal or wood not propane, of course). Also had to purchase some kitchen stuff like pans. Over all we are very pleased despite not getting a response on any of our questions while there.”

“The place was secluded enough to enjoy the quiet , yet close enough to get to Comal Park. We went out for the day and came back to enjoy the hot tub both nights and it was perfect! The bed was also very comfortable and cozy! Overall, great stay. Would definitely come again!”

“I'll start with the good first. Location is great, near attractions yet off the beaten path. Its quiet and there is lake access. Bed was very comfortable.The not so good. Property is almost in ruins. I thought I was at the wrong address at first. Blue masking tape over all the windows in a X pattern. All exterior in signs of disrepair. “We enjoyed staying at Peaceful Songbird Cottage, which was super clean and well stocked. We appreciated the ability to use the spaces indoors and out! We stayed long term and found all we needed to cook daily breakfasts and dinners. We had a truck, 14 foot trailer and a motorcycle, with plenty of parking for all. We were able to walk from the cottage to Canyon Lake Dam, spotting deer along the way, which was perfect. Canyon Lake was a good central location to explore Hill Country. The hosts were...
