"Likes: Pools and the beach across the road. Free coffee at marina. Our room Well, kept grounds and lots of nature Food at the pool bar was really good and very fast. Dislikes: No ice machine told it was broken Broken elevator Book in room has wrong times when places we’re open and closed not accurate No beach service even though the book says there is. Minimal first aid Door on balcony didn’t close all the way. Gap at the top of slider door Bathroom & bedroom doors squeak really bad Everyday Sewer smell on outside balcony in morning Rented cabana for half a day. No real amenities in the cabana such as a small fridge with waters in it. The only amenity was you had a server come to your cabana and ask if you wanted to order drinks or food. We saw them the first 30 minutes and then after that no service at all. The cushions on the chairs in the cabana did not fit the chairs. We went to two different restaurants while we were there and both had the same menu so really it wasn’t like two different restaurants. Just their names were different. The food was not very good at either restaurants. They have a place to order pizza and a few tables outside of it to sit to eat your pizza if you want or take back to your room. Pizza was not that good"

"We had 3 families with 6 adults and 6 kids and there was plenty of room for all of us. The island is beautiful and quiet. We enjoyed the convenience how close the beach was with golf carts. We did have an issue with one of the golf carts the whole time. The charge did not last long and we were almost stranded a couple of times. I think the battery just needs to be replaced. The pool worked the first day and the last day of our stay. Something was broken and it was losing water the whole time. We had to keep a garden hose in it to keep the water level high enough to not burn the pump up. The management company did not do a good job of prioritizing the repair, but as soon as I talked to the host she made sure they were out to fix it. The house itself is more worn-in than the pictures suggest, but you'll have that with any rental property. We ate at all the restaurants on the island and the food was delicious. Our favorite spot was Mainstays. If you arrange ferries to and from and groceries in advance, you will be able to relax and enjoy the laid back vibe of North Captiva. "

"House was great for a big group, we loved the location. Property manager was responsive and helpful. The grill was not in great condition. The pots and pans were lacking in variety and it made it hard to cook large meals. Loved the house and would stay again! "
