“The room was clean however the bathtub in the first room we had did not drain. Therefore we had to be moved to a different room. The second room we had was clean but the shower had some staining. Also the iron leaked aLL over my pants. The breakfast was subpar. There wasn't a lot of variety nor was the “cooked” food tasty.”

“Sadly, this structure needs updating and thorough scrubbing. The dust aggravated my asthma. Pillows were hard (not firm—hard). Bathroom was in sad shape; door couldn’t close, toilet is very old, need new towels, blow dryer did not work. The coffee in the breakfast area was good.”

In addition to all this the host very generously supplied extras, like nice soaps, wine, milk, and much more. I am a very picky person and I would highly recommend this cozy getaway.”

“For the low price, the hotel met our needs well and was a good value. The rooms are a little dated and could use a refresh. I like its proximity to grocery stores, restaurants and the highway. It was the best value for Portland, MI, which is a beautiful city.”
