The location was central, and staff were very kind and helpful.
However, the hotel itself felt fairly run down. I had to move rooms two nights in (due to a new restaurant opening below my room which was extremely loud, but not the fault of the hotel of course), so I saw two rooms.
Both rooms had water damaged table tops. The floor rugs were worn down and fraying in one room. Dresser drawers and bedside drawers were broken and could not open in the one room that had drawers. One washing machine had a mildew smell. One of the garbage can lids was broken in the kitchen which was extremely challenging due to how they function (on tracks). Oven clocks could not be set and flashed all night in one room. There was a bench with cloth cover beside the bed in one room, and it was stained and gross. The hot tub was as tepid, and the keypad was missing so you could not see how to turn up the heat. The showers often could not get hot during busy shower times, and in one suite the bathroom fan did not work. Hallway carpets were also stained and filthy. My key code also stopped working twice during my stay, so I spent a lot of time at the front desk showing staff the issue.
Overall, despite the good location and lovely staff, I would not stay again. This is the first critical review I’ve ever given of a hotel.
