Lake Michigan. Path off Trail 9 at one place leads right to the lake. Peaceful to just stand and watch and listen to the waves as they crash to the shore. Trail 9 is the trail to hike if one wants to see the most in the shortest time. Great views throughout the trail. The trail is over 3 miles long and is considered a moderate trail. But certainly worth it. One gets to hike through forest, dunes, and other natural environments and see such a variety of sights.

View from the top of one of the dunes of the Dune Challenge. The dune challenge is about 1.5 miles long and is considered a moderate trail. Part of the trail is made up of 3 dunes that are required to be hiked up and down. The more challenging part being walking up a hill of loose sand. Great views though from the tops of those dunes. Challenge isn't the easiest but is certainly worth attempting it. Also has side trails if one wants to cut the challenge short. Camping and swimming are other activities that can be done at this park.
