“I expect a typical “free breakfast” when I stay at a roadside hotel…scrambled eggs, sausage, an assortment of breads and cereals…the usual fare for such establishments. The bar is not very high. Unfortunately, Fairfield in Wheeling didn’t make it over the bar. The assortment of offerings was fewer than the average, and no breakfast meat, at all. When the expectation is pretty low to begin with, failure to meet the expectation is disappointing. You gotta pick up your game, Fairfield.”

“The room itself was clean. I did not care for the amount of grills sitting outside of other rooms and the amount of people hanging out outside of our room. Kids were running up and down outside of our room until late and started back up at 6 AM.”

“There was only one chair in the room and it was so low to the ground that it made it difficult to get out of it.”

“The hotel is getting dated. It is CLEAN, the bed is comfortable. Shower can be a bit wonky at peak use time. "Mine kept plunging to ice cold in the evening, the wife's was perfect in the morning" go figure.;-) The staff are more than pleasant and helpful. This is our 7th or 8th stay, Our mid-way point of the trip. Will stay here again I assure you.”
