From the moment we arrived everyone was very welcoming and helpful. The staff are amazing , the rooms and outdoor spaces are comfortable and clean and I can’t say enough about the included breakfast and 24 hour delicious Costa Rican coffee! The location of Toro Blanco is perfect as well…. 1/2 block from the beach and 1/2 block from the main drag with great restaurants/ shops. The room was such a treat, I loved the large balcony. My favourite thing was to lay in the hammock and read my book. The location is great, a couple of minutes to the beach (towels, beach mats, boogie boards provided) and it’s one block off the Main Street. Good breakfast, all day coffee and water, and lovely staff. They lent us umbrellas for us to use while we stayed there because of the weather conditions. They gave us information on the best places to eat and made us feel at home. While the hotel is not a luxury resort, I was pleasantly surprised how big the hotel room was. It had a separate kitchen and couch and the outside patio was very large with furniture and a hammock. When I checked in, I was told I still owe the amount of the deposit and wanted to see my credit card statement to prove I paid it. I was too tired to argue but was very upset that I double paid the deposit. Although a bar is advertised, it is closed down. Good: friendly staff hotel is being renovated, getting a facelift it could use. Pool was very inviting.
