We checked in early afternoon. We had a double room (sleeps 4) for our family. The room had biscuit crumbs by the front door, and overall just didn’t feel very clean. There were only 2 towels and 2 wash clothes. I went to the front desk to ask for more and she wasn’t very friendly about it. We got back to our room that evening around 10:00 after a long day with young tired kids, and our room key wouldn’t work. After two visits to the front desk, they finally had to call maintenance because the battery on the electronic door lock was dead. We waited on maintenance and finally got into our room around 11:00. The maintenance guy was friendly, but there wasn’t much offered other than an “I’m sorry for the inconvenience.” When we checked out the next day, the desk attendant asked how our stay was. I said, “not so great” and she asked why. When I told her why, she rudely said, “well that is all really just out of our control.” Customer service doesn’t exist anymore. I don’t feel like we should have been charged full price for a room that wasn’t available when we needed it.
