“My friends and I stayed here recently while in town for our college reunion. The location can’t be beat- easy access to downtown Lexington, W&L, VMI, the Chessie Trail, etc. We will be back!”

“Stayed in Salem right outside of Ranoke for the USA finals National Mnt Biking races for 2025. Location was quiet, clean, modern, nice small cottage set up for family of 4. Good sized front yard area for yard games. Beautiful rose bushes on side of house that had lots of birds and bees visit. Close enough to hiking or biking trails near by via short drive and just far enough away from city to have a quite outside of Ranoke city area.It was too hot for us to use the bonfire but did enjoy the……

“Lovely little cottage with a variety of goats, chickens, turkeys, and peacocks. Kim offered two bags of feed to hand out to the animals. Wifey and daughter loved it. Kim and husband were very responsive to our communications. We didn’t take in much of the area, we traveled for business. Nice mall and restaurants within driving distance, Roanoke about 15-20 minutes away. Overall it was a nice, cozy stay.”

“My wife and i and another couple had a great stay in Lewisburg at this cute cottage. The porch space is the highlight and we enjoyed coffee in the morning and unwinding at night out there. The downstairs bathroom and shower are amazing! The best part was the location. We walked to 4 different awesome restaurants, all within 3 to 4 blocks, as well as all the downtown shops. Elinor was great with communication and made the stay very enjoyable! Would definitely recommend!”

“We had a lovely week at this adorable little farmhouse which has been very nicely renovated and decorated. The views of the Blue Ridge and horse pasture and visits from local wildlife (groundhogs, deer, birds) made for a very peaceful stay. Watching summer thunderstorms, dramatic clouds, and rainbows form over the mountains was an added bonus. The kitchen is well-equipped, beds are comfortable, and the place is spotlessly clean. Would definitely return! ”

“1 night stay during road trip. House was great, everything you need. Yard a little small for our dog, but we were able to walk her around the neighborhood. Since we were only stopping thru, didn't see much of the area, but the mountain views walking around were stunning. We were there during a heat wave, but house was cool and comfortable. Appliances are top notch, kitchen very well stocked. TV viewing choices were best in any VRBO we've stayed in...every channel/premium channel you could ask……

“Great attention to detail. Hosts left extra surprises (including fresh flowers!!!) and provided everything we would need for our stay. The flat was clean, private/quiet, and communication and checking in and out were a breeze. Would definitely stay here again! 10/10!”

“Rose Cottage was perfect and a delightful place to stay with dogs. The house had everything we needed and was so organized and welcoming that we were quick to feel at home. Jessie was so kind when we met. The fire pit and axe throwing down by the creek was so refreshing and the dogs were wild about running about in the huge fenced in section of the yard. We also enjoyed the deck. We're eager to come back when visiting our family and hometown again soon. ”

“Very nice property”

“My husband and I wanted a weekend away from the world to get peace and quiet. This was most definitely the place. Absolutely adorable place and away from it all! Very comfortable setting and loved watching the baby deer and its parents walk past the cabin. ”

“We had an amazing time! We loved our stay at this he in Covington, Va.The home is right on the river. Access was easy. Super peaceful. While we had neighbors, it was very private and a very large and secluded large lot. The home was very clean, comfortable and had everything we needed!We loved the location. We kayaked on the Jackson River and the James river. We fell in love with Lake MooMaw. The lake was simply stunning. Places to swim and hike. We regretted not kayaking there. We also……

“Beautiful location. Very clean and comfortable. Hosts were very quick to respond to questions and needs before and during our stay. Kitchen is well equipped for most cooking needs. We used the gas and charcoal grills, both are well maintained. Perfect for a quiet getaway away from it all. ”

“Cozy cottage... comfortable bed, nice little kitchen. Walk to dinner and local ice cream! Quiet. There are a couple of abandoned/ hoarder looking houses on the same block which initially felt a bit sketchy and a large retail business directly across the street-- but we had absolutely no problems from either and thoroughly enjoyed our stay.”

“It was super fantastic! It was just what my daughter and I were looking for. Everything was wonderful, the view was amazing and private. We loved that it was also close to everything we wanted to do. It was very clean and the little kitchen and bathroom were also very nice!”
