"Very nice rooms and clean hotel"

"The room was comfortable and clean. The bathroom could use extra attention on the floors and shower tiles. The extra blankets were appreciated. No in room coffee was a bit disappointing but the coffee bar in the lobby was well stocked and the coffee was flavorful. WiFi was poor to fair most times in our room. Continental breakfast was good. Hotel is close to several restaurants, shopping areas, and the Lincoln Theater. Overall we really enjoyed our stay."

"We’ve booked cabin all across western NC and this was by far one of the best. Driving up to the property will definitely put a smile on your face. Host was extremely helpful and offered endless recommendations for things to do in the area. West Jefferson is a must see, especially on the weekend. Loved our stay."

"Beautiful location and very nice hotel. My room was not ready at check-in time so the young lady at the front desk was kind enough to put me into a different room. Unfortunately the restaurant was not open nor was it open the following day which is not convenient at all for guests. The hot water was not working in the bathroom and apparently there were a few complaints from other guests as well. The rooms are very spacious and comfortable."

"This property is not what the pictures show! Those photos must be decades old! It is not a bright blue fresh painted place. It is not well-maintained. When we pulled in my kid screamed "Bates Motel!" The exterior was not maintained at all. It had weathered and gray boards with mold all over. We wanted a lodge vibe while in the mountains, but I could have stayed in a nicer hotel for the money I spent here! The hall and stairs and room carpet were nasty and smelled. My bathroom smelled like urine. The sofa had some kind of stain on it. The top ledge of the sofa and cushions and the blanket for the pull-out were covered in dust and kicked up everywhere when we sat down and used the blanket. Window air conditioner and was loud. Gross. Did not feel safe here at all. They said they could not refund my money."
