“Room was very clean. Only stayed one night. Nice to have restaurant next door.”

“property feels unloved. front desk staff need training when there are any there. room smelt of damp and mold. 1 light in bathroom not working fan in bathroom needed servicing and cleaning, sounded like a tractor starting no face towels. wash cloths and bath towels only humidifier to loud, disturbs sleep. would definitely not recommend. gardens pretty and pool, but i never used either.”

“Beautiful property, quiet and well kept. Only downfall is location is on the French side of the island and without a car things get very expensive getting taxis to and from things to do. If planning to stay at this resort please know it’s on the French side which means it’s not close to the popular tourists attractions. Otherwise decent resort.”

“I had high hopes for this resort, but unfortunately it was a disappointing stay. The only real highlight was the ocean view from the balcony, which was absolutely beautiful. The room itself was in poor condition and clearly needs maintenance. The bathroom had rust around the toilet hinges, mold and grime around the shower, a broken shower faucet handle, and deteriorating caulking around the sink mirror. The jacuzzi tub was dirty and looked like it hadn’t been properly cleaned in a long time.……

“Julie was extremely kind and helpful. She had suggestions of places to stay and see. We had a bit of an issue with our room on one of the nights and she took the time to show us other rooms and place us elsewhere in the vicinity, which felt above and beyond! All the rooms are gorgeous and feel like luxury.”

“Loved our stay in a one bedroom suite! Our room was lovely, very comfortable and we had everything we needed. We enjoyed eating our complimentary breakfast (very good) on our terrace. We often stopped by the pool area on our way back from the beach. It is beautiful and a great place to relax and cool off. The evening shuttle to Grande Case gave us the option to catch a ride, though we often walked as it’s close by and we enjoyed the walk. Many great restaurants in the area….we loved Java……

“We have stayed at La Playa for the last 5 years. This is a great location for people not wanting to drive after dark. The restaurants of Orient Village or Ti Palms are right next door. Excellent French and Italian dining! There is a small grocery even closer that has a good selection and will save you a trip to the Match or Super-U. If you want to skip the included breakfast, the Good Morning is a great alternative for French pastries. We do not use the beach at the hotel, only because……

“My room was clean and nice. The staff were very pleasant. There was a personalized note in my room for me. Made me feel special. The only issues I had the toilet stopped working and the hot water side of the water in the shower and kitchen sink was discolored. I spoke to the staff about it and they changed my room to make necessary repairs. The replacement room was good”
