We wanted to celebrate New Years Eve away and found this listing, it was the Best! The sunsets on the dock were breath taking! It was my boyfriend and our 3 daughters on this trip! We made memories of our first vacation as a family. We will highly recommend this place to others!

We had a wonderful stay at the cabin by the lake. It was quiet and peaceful with a beautiful view. Close enough to town for convivence but far enough for relaxation. The cabin was spacious and the comfortable. The owner was quick to respond when messaged.

End of Summer Retreat
Serenity Unleashed! This little gem is the perfect get away! Peaceful, comfortable lakefront cabin located a few minutes north of DeFuniak Springs, and a few minutes more to the beaches...has much to offer, and there's something for everyone! Host is friendly and helpful. I'm already looking forward to my next stay here!

Adorable lake life get-away
We loved the property - it's secluded, the pier has the best lake view, and the cabin had everything we needed. It was a wonderful getaway and next time we will bring kayaks as there is a boat ramp on the property! The owner was so helpful and accomodating and a pleasure to interact with! Bring your own outdoor chairs and dont expect to swim in the lake - it's for fishing and kayaking but definitely not swimming. We will absolutely be back again in the future! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

It was very comfortable and had a large living room where you could have a lovely view of the lake. John went to fish, but all he caught was about 20 turtles! Maybe it was nesting season. We had friends nearby, so we had a great time with them!

This was a very relaxing stay for us! We got four bass and one brim in our two day vacation here! We thought the lake was empty at first cause you can see the bottom all over the lake and we didn’t see fish for a long time. But we bought our boat and got into the coves and they are indeed fish in there! We loved our stay!

Most Relaxing Stay EVER!
This place is definitely a hidden gem. The cabin was very clean. We brought the boat with trolling motor as well as the kayak. The grands had the best time paddling around in the kayak as well as getting to ride the boat. Of all my trips to this area this was absolutely the most relaxing place we have ever stayed. Our host was absolutely fabulous. With the one issue we had, he was extremely prompt to address it. I will no longer shop around for a rental when I come to visit family. This will be my go to stay!

Serenity Now!!!!
We booked the cabin for a week and it was exactly what we needed!! Rest and relaxation from our very busy overstimulated lives! We brought our kayaks and went fishing on the beautiful private lake! We were the only ones on the water. We fished from the dock also. Napped in our chairs by the lake. Watched movies at night. Not a soul around except us. So peaceful! We found a long standing community restaurant for the best burgers and shakes right up the road! Very quaint small town. We spent a day exploring nearby springs which were gorgeous! Dan the host was very responsive to any questions we had. The property had everything we needed and was exactly as described. Stores are close by for any supplies needed. We will definitely be back!!! Perfect retreat!

Simple. Clean. All necessities there. Quiet. Safe. A diamond in the rough. Dirt road is misleading at first but when you approach the house in the evening the view is beautiful. If you are looking for simplicity- this is it.

It was a decent place to stay for a weekend getaway. The place itself was relatively clean. Nice parking area with a good view of the lake. The only few complaints were the beds were uncomfortable and some small issues of cockroaches. Turning onto the road the neighborhood looked abandoned and run down. Which will make you a little worried until you see the place, which is not.

The view is incredible, especially at sunset. The interior is very nice--huge kitchen and a lovely and large sunroom/living room looking out over the lake. Bring some outdoor chairs, rest and relax. We will definitely come again!

If your wanting a place to relax and reflect this is the place for you. Wish we had more days to enjoy the peace and quite that this place has to offer. Everything was clean and the lake was gorgeous. If your looking to get away and enjoy the simpler life while still having all the comforts of home then book this place and stay a while.
