"Upon arrival our room was not ready, it was until after 4pm for us to check in. Then we realize the room had insects and no WIFI, so we asked to switch for another room. It was difficult to communicate with the manager because he is not in the building. The second room was much better, very spacious with good wifi. Anyways, overall we enjoy our stay for 4 days. The hotel is central location, near the shopping mall, fish market, etc."

"We were in Antofagasta, as a base to tour the ESO Paranal Observatory. A remarkable value… 13th floor room, beautiful, quiet and well-appointed, with a small terrace, overlooking the bay. Enjoyed our breakfasts and our two dinners at the excellent seaside restaurant. Did not use the pool, but it looked lovely. "

"San Pedro de Atacama has a bustling dusty and active tourist center of 4 or 5 blocks by 4 or 5 blocks....This hotel is just outside the busy center, but very walkable and a welcome respite from the busyness...Hotel La Casa de San Tomas, and the added Refugio, offer a very peaceful and pleasing place to be once one has been to the town center or gone on an excursion to the surrounding natural beauty locations. The rooms are modern and large, many with beautiful views. The breakfast and dinner food is excellent, and all three meals are available. The front desk staff is very helpful. "

Excellent stay

"Couldn’t imagine a better place to stay than this in San Pedro de Atacama. The location is ideal, right in the center of town close to all restaurants, bars etc but is quiet and peaceful. The design is simple and elegant. The rooms are comfortable and spacious, good water pressure in the shower. The staff is friendly and helpful. They have a lovely wine tasting every evening where you can meet other travelers. I loved lounging at the pool in between excursions and while waiting to go to the airport after checking out. Breakfast is great with an egg station. They can pack a breakfast for you if you have an early morning excursion. "
