We were very happy and satisfied with our stay at Motives Inn Dilijan! The staff was incredibly supportive, helpful, and always willing to do everything they could to solve any issues and make our stay comfortable. They were especially wonderful with our kids and very attentive to their needs, including their food.
We also really loved our cottage—it was clean, comfortable, and well maintained. The property has a lovely playground with sand and a soccer field, which was a big plus for families...

In Yerevan on business for a couple of weeks, I fled the gorgeous but overpriced Marriott in Republic Square, and moved a couple of blocks down the street to the Republica. What a contrast! Starting at the reception desk. Marriott: Snooty, cold, and totally uncooperative, despite my Gold Elite status. Republica: Welcoming, warm, and accommodating. Marriott restaurant: food & service mediocre to poor. Republica: food & service excellent. Marriott room: big but shabby & outdated. Republica...

Fantastic food, great hospitality, and a beautiful location among farms. Room could have used a couple of chairs and a more substantial desk but I consider those very minor issues. True farm to table food and friendly people.

An oasis of good service in the south Caucasus, especially after the flag change to Doubletree. Young, friendly, well trained English-speaking staff.
In Yerevan and elsewhere, unfortunately, expect to be taken for a ride by some who will invariably try to overcharge you/rip you off (some taxi drivers, some restaurants-even national chain ones- and even stores), but despite it all it is always good to get back to the hotel and feel at home again with friendly staff, and the country itself is...
