"We arrived at Dunboyne Castle for an overnight stay on the 16 Dec. We were created by Marie and Shauna who gave us our keys they were very welcoming and helpful. Our room was on the third floor with a nice view of the grounds the bed was comfortable and a smart tv was in the room. We had booked dinner in the Ivy restaurant Malwina took our order she was so friendly and chatty. the food was excellent fresh and tasty we had the turkey and ham. We were celebrating our fourtith anniversary and the chef sent out a plate with Happy Anniversary and homemade Chocolate what a lovely touch. we had a hearty breakfast the next morning before leaving Malwina came over to say goodbye to us and asked us did we enjoy our stay. We really did and have no hesitation in recommending the Dunboyne castle to anyone looking for a short break. With friendly staff excellent customer service, you'll enjoy your stay. Denis and Tina "

"Me and my husband thoroughly enjoyed our two night stay at The Johnstown Estate - such a lovely setting and the staff were super friendly. The recently renovated spa is unreal (not included in your stay but well worth the extra to enjoy). The access to the leisure suite was great as well - outdoor hottub, pool, jacuzzi and sauna - I hadn’t realised there was as much to it. The booking in for 90 minute slots due to covid was super easy and we always got the time we wanted - this meant it was never too busy which was a bonus. We had dinner at fire and salt one evening which was super tasty - my only negative is that it is a fixed menu meaning you had to get a three course meal even if you didn’t want it. But I could not fault the food or the service - every course was amazing! Overall the stay was great and I would definitely visit again"

"Central hotel with parking across the road (€2 per day). Wifi was good. Food ok. It is in the courtyard/smoking area of the bar so noise is expected. Separate side gate for entry/exit. We used it for a stag party and it was perfect. "
