“Rooms are great size and very clean”

“The staff are top-notch! They could not be more accommodating! It’s a five-star hotel with five-star hospitality but without the snobbery. Nang, an esthetician at the spa was especially wonderful…as were the two ladies at the spa reception. The first night one of the staff came up to our room to show us how to use the Nespresso machine and was very warm and professional. And I can’t leave out all the wonderful waiters we had each meal. Again very friendly and most professional. Front……

“Hervorragende Lage für Wanderausflüge, jedoch nicht am Wochenende, da völlig überlaufen durch Badegäste am Upper Lake und Wandertourismus. (Viele Busse reisen an, Stau zur Hotel Zufahrtsstraße). Positiv ist der kostenfreie Gästeparkplatz beim Hotel. Freundliches und hilfsbereites Personal, jedoch könnte dem Hotel eine Auffrischung gut tun, nicht alles funktioniert mehr einwandfrei. Das Frühstück ist sehr regional gehalten, gewöhnungsbedürftig und bietet keinerlei Abwechslung. Hauptsächlich……

“Just has a nice view of the hotel. But this hotel only has the basic facitilities. Basic room with a bed, closet and a small table. ”

“The pub is charming but very, very loud and our room opened out to the courtyard. The room was very hot because it faced the sun and the day was bright, so we needed to open the window and then had a lot of pub noise. The en suite bath was tiny but operational. On the plus side, the staff were super friendly and helpful and despite a busy evening, they managed to seat us so we could eat. The food as good too both for dinner and breakfast.”

“Eine einzigartige tolle Location”

“Das Zimmer war angenehm groß und das Frühstück sehr lecker, mit einer wirklich guten und vielfältigen Auswahl. Leider ist das Hotel insgesamt deutlich in die Jahre gekommen. Man hat den Eindruck, dass seit mehreren Jahrzehnten kaum etwas renoviert oder modernisiert wurde. Besonders negativ aufgefallen sind uns die sehr schmutzigen Fenster, sowohl im Zimmer als auch im Frühstücksraum. Im Frühstücksraum hingen außerdem deutlich sichtbare Spinnweben an der Decke. “The Palm was such a lovely place to start our vacation! The location is great and the staff were kind and helpful. The room itself was spacious with plenty of character. We wish we could have stayed for longer. The only drawback is parking as it is a very busy road.”

“The room was okay, it had a bad smell (I think it was the carpet) but we got used to it. There was only bath towels, no hand towels. The view was amazing. The restaurant downstairs was amazing. We did not spend a lot of time in the hotel, and more in the surrounding area, so that smell did not take the score down too low :)”

“The room was clean and spacious, and the breakfast was amazing. The facility was older but very clean and well-maintained. The staff was extremely helpful and nice. We had dinner at the restaurant and the food was really good. We would love to stay here again!”
