"Shared canteen area is messy and not the cleanest. Shared bathroom upstairs has a shower which doesn't work. Television didn't work in my room (possibly the remote) - but it was very late and I couldn't be bothered chasing this up. I was awoken by very loud noises of arguing and fighting around 2.45am. I thought something serious was happening - but then realised the person in the next room had their television om at an unbearably loud volume. I obviously didn't want to knock their door and ask what was going on since goodness knows if the person was so inconsiderate then I didn't fancy knocking their door. I thought - surely the owner would do that. The next morning I left and I saw the owner coming out of the room next to the one which had the television blaring all night. I really could not be bothered confronting him. I messaged him later that day advising that I couldn't stay another night and I advised him of everything and he didn't answer. I sent another message asking for a response to my first text and had no answer. It's not the most expensive - but I've found a really nice hotel for the same money and a cooked breakfast with amenities that work nearby. Avoid this place like the plague. Customer care is zero."

"Reception staff were very friendly, our room was ready, despite only being just before 2pm. Great location right in the heart of the town centre. Walking distance to almost everything. The Kingsgate shopping centre is just a stoll away, albeit uphill. There is a wide selection of bars close by. The Alhambra Theatre is only about a 10 minutes walk away. Breakfast in the morning was lovely. Not a buffet, but you can have your choice of cooked items. The toaster was a joy, a single turn through the grill. All in all a lovely wee overnight stay. "

"Spotlessly clean accommodation with a warm and efficient welcome. Shared facilities which again were perfectly clean. Secure entry system and plenty of off-street parking. Only slight issue was thin walls so could hear the next room on mobile phone but it didn't go on late and I had a good night's sleep."
