“Signage in room indicates No Smoking property yet front entrance littered with cigarette butts and one loser female guest stood about 5 feet from entrance smoking. Property owners has mostly absentee employee at the reception desk. Lobby is grubby, musty and dates from about 1978.”

“Stayed here for a wedding , the room we were given was dated , we struggled to even close the curtains the bed was awful , we hadn’t been given toilet roll , all in all not worth what was paid for the room and left as soon as possible in the morning”

“The hotel was generally run down and poorly maintained, with peeling paint and soft spots in the floorboards, and was clearly over priced. I booked two rooms, both twin bed “deluxe“ rooms. One room was decent, but the other one was of poor quality and very small and narrow, with little room to move and with only a single bed that took up most of the room, and exactly the opposite of what a “deluxe” room would be. I’ve stayed in worse, but not much worse. I certainly did not book here again, and……

“Although the hotel itself was a tad old fashioned, (it was an old building after all) we loved our stay. Firstly the staff were absolutely amazing, very helpful, the gentleman that checked us in, perfect. He tried several attempts to organize a taxi for us, and we must give a big mention to Tracy, who was so lovely and eventually managed to get us get a taxi to our destination. The rooms were spotless, again staff so accommodating. The cooked breakfast was nice and hot, with most ingredients……

“Great position on the beach front and only metres from St Andrews old course. Breakfast was excellent and we ate at the restaurant Ondine oyster and grill and the food there was delicious. Highly recommend this hotel and would stay there again”
