“I recently stayed at the Royal International Hotel in Georgetown. Overall, the stay was acceptable, but there were several issues that future guests should be aware of. The hotel itself is modern and is attached to a mall with restaurants, shops, a casino, and a gym, which is very convenient. Most of the staff I encountered were polite and tried to be helpful. However, communication was often difficult because many staff members spoke little or no English. This included some front-line……

“We enjoyed our stay at Grand Coastal. Everything was convenient. Location was great. All of the staff are very helpful and attentive as well. We enjoyed their food options, especially because they provided local guyanese cuisines which we loved very much. The drinks at the bar were fresh and delicious. Overall, great place to stay when you're in Guyana.”

“The property management team is polite and accommodating. Due to last minute changes in my trip, they were more than willing to accommodate my reservation alterations with no questions asked. I will DEFINITELY continue to use them as my primary hotel when traveling to Guyana for business.”

“I just had an amazing stay at the Guyana Marriott. The staff was so kind and helpful. The food was amazing. I loved the mix of traditional Guyanese breakfast with more traditional American fare. Loved the options. Also enjoyed the Guyanese night dinner buffet. I enjoyed the hors d’oeuvres and painting night activity. That was a lot of fun. They have a great pool and a gym. Overall just an amazing vacation in Guyana.”

“Staff/service was very slow. There was no hot water running in our room. The entire stay went by and we were having cold showers. There is no kettle in the room, so you can not get boiling water for a tea or coffee after 10 pm. The coffee machine was not working in our room. The safe wasn’t working when we first arrived; shortly after, the engineer arrived and fixed it- so we were able to use the safe in the room during our stay. There was a broken piece in the shower stall. The toilet clogged……

“The Courtyard at Cheddi Jagan IA is extremely clean and convenient. The property was immaculate, staff were friendly, their bar/coffee shop and variety of foods being offered at the lunch buffet were all excellent. I loved the shuttle (can be used upon request if needed, but let the property know ahead of time).”

“the room was very clean, bathroom nicely tiled, and was spacious - hot water to shower was abundant. Parking was good and the owner allowed me to park on the hotel's front driveway. Very close to banks. GRA is one straight drive on camp street. I didn't like the breakfast - only took the breakfast one day - the other days I ate out (not a problem for me)”

“Like the cleanness of the room. Staff were friendly. Breakfast was good. The only thing the hotel needs an elevator and some Ottoman or benches in the room to put your suitcases on. Had to put it on the floor. Overall it was good. In the future will give the other location a try.”
