“Hotel is in a good location, ample parking. It's a stately building fairly well maintained, though the elevator access on floor 1 is hindered by the carpeting that restricts the door from opening. Yes you have to manually open the door to access the 50 + year old elevator and make sure it doesnt swallow any body part when the door closes, very cool. The food in the attached restaurant/ pub was good, though the service was hindered by only 1 person doing everything, hotel check in and restaurant……

“Excellent large clean immaculate room with plenty of tea coffee biscuits etc on clean tray. Clean kettle and cups. Excellent large immaculate bathroom with towels and hand and shower liquid soaps. Bed and bedding clean and comfortable.we had a large dog who was welcomed in all public areas which enabled us to have a great holiday. Large selection of choices at breakfast and at the bar.***** .”
